I admit I haven't seen this kid before, and Martinez seems to be on a hot KO streak...are there any fans of Mat that can honestly say he will last the distance?

There is a VERY attractive bet line on the fight going the distance, but I am not sure what the kid's chin and defense are like...

    Bookmarked.

I'll address this in greater detail after the fight. Keep a look out for a thread entitled, "mega lolz, Lil John".

Sturm was coming on strong in the last 2 rounds. Sergio will be picking him apart from round 3-4 to whenever it's stopped. No cuts, no KD? Mack the Knife goes 12.

Macklin has a fair chance of upsetting the odds I think he will have gained a lot from the Sturm fight. I think his stamina will be better also and as long as he doesn't get too cut up it should go the distance and his chin is pretty good he got ko'ed before but that was in an all out war and he had nothing left in the tank.

    Depends on how he fights:-
If he goes for a KO he wont last i don't think.

If he boxes smart behind a solid jab with high guard and movement he could/should last

He could do, the Sturm fight will prepare him for the atmosphere and world class opponent.

It depends though, you could almost say he will last if he doesnt try too hard, if he tries to win his chances of a ko loss increase. Could he win? it's not impossible, if He raises his game and Martinez slips a little from the barker fight, who knows.

Im a big fan of macklins and have been for a long long time but i think he suits sergio down to the ground and i reckon he gets stopped. In fact i have this horrible image of an early stoppage. Matt isnt that hard to hit and he will get caught often on the way in. His chin isnt bad but i wouldnt be that confident in it. He also doesnt have a huge amount of experience against southpaws. One of his losses was against a southpaw in jamie moore as well. Even if he doesnt get koed early as im picturing he also has stamina issues at times, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that he has trouble pacing himself as he usually is all guns blazing early on, and therefore if he can survive the early rounds i could see a stoppage late on once he is gassed. sturm early got him out of there in the twelfth.

so one way or another i think sergio will get him out of there.
