    holt would get smashed probably he throws about 9 punches a round.

    Maidana=ponce de leon+good chin/recuperative powers.
    Serious, watch the fight again, squint a little, maybe you'll see it too.

    He doesn't have nearly the pop that Ponce does. Good hitter, decent chin. He beat Ortiz because he was willing to keep getting up and keep fighting, that's IT. I hope people keep going crazy over him so I can get good odds next time he fights world class competition.

    I just mean his look and style. I think maidana is better technically than ponce but their punch delivery is pretty damn similar. If you watch it on the hbo replay, maybe you'll catch it too.
    I forgot to answer finitos question, no. I think holts speed and straight right would probably slow/break maidana down over, maybe even under 12. But chino is tough as nails, and could give him trouble if holt slows or tires.
    Anyone know what's going on with that case holt caught?
    We might not even see him in the ring again.

    You've missed the point- Holt isn't that good either. I'm just saying for me, Maidana has got his number. Remember the second Torres fight? Holt dropped twice before the butt saved the day, remember that? That's my point.

    Holt can punch and box but if Maidana touches that chin is all over.

    I would also say that Holt is on par with Ortiz in terms of power( even though his knockout ratio doesn't show it) and for the people who thinks the knockout in the second Torres fight was a fluke( which i disagree with) he even knocked down Torres in their first fight and the two knockdowns against Bradley proves that he has world class power. His problem is that he is inconsistent against boxers who can adjust to him and he also has a questionable chin. Against Maidana, i don't think he will lose focus because Maidana is not a skillful boxer and will not make the kind of adjustments that Bradley made. He is too open for counters and i see Holt taking advantage, Holt is too experienced IMO and will not break down the way Ortiz did. Maidana is a great fighter, i just don't think hes ready for Holt or Bradley. He would have a better chance at Kotelink( who i felt he beat) Kahn( who i feel he would beat) and Witter.
