Maidana hates body-shots, so expect Mayweather's Jab to the body to be key and Mayweather will potshot him all night. Maidana's biggest mistake is that he truly believes Broner is equal to Mayweather.
Maidana is going to be made to miss worse than Guerrero. You don't even have to consider hand speed, Floyd's footwork alone, ability to jump in and out, will leave Maidana punching air and will leave him open to straight right hand counters all night long. This should be a schooling.
It will be Gatti-Floyd 2. Maidana throws a lot of slow looping shots. He'll be taking on the best counterpuncher of this generation that loves to throw straight shots/leads as counterpunches. I think it's pretty clear what's going to happen in this fight. Maidana will swing for the fences, FLoyd will see almost every one of Maidana's shots coming from a mile away and he'll time him accordingly with straight shots that'll land on Marcos before any of his looping shots even reach Mayweather. I have a strong feeling FLoyd will stop him in the latter rounds, he'll probably tire Maidana out with a consistent body punching display and while Maidana will continue to put on the pressure, he'll just be getting nailed with too many flush shots he doesn't see coming that'll probably put an end to the fight either via ref stoppage or corner stoppage.
