They would both have a decent chance at 154. Particularly Floyd from a style point of view, but Martinez is no longer a light middleweight IMO. He would be doing what Roy Jones did and losing a lot of Muscle to get down there, so that size difference would probabily be offset by the weight issues.

Floyd - maybe, he's faster, more skilled, better defense, but much smaller and maybe doesn't do well against a fast rangy southpaw

Pac - I don't think so, Martinez would be a tricky style for him if they were the same size with his counter punching and fast hands. Plus he'll have massive reach and height disadvantages against a man who can make use of those advantages. His power also won't be significant at 154lbs against a figther who actually has a defense

I think Floyd's style will at least carry him to the finish line if he is losing. stylewise i think floyd have a 50% chance of beating martinez in a ugly fight but manny is so aggressive that he may win more rounds and have a great chance in winning but the chance of him getting ktfo is extremely high.

Floyd can. His arms are actually longer than Martinez arms.

    Mayweather arm length = 26"
    Martinez arm length = 24"

At 154, it would be an even match. Anything above that, i favor Maravilla. I heard maravilla walks around 180. Yikes.

SM would be a tough ugly fight for anyone of the two....

Floyd probally can handle it a lot better because of his style

i hope martinez gets one of them in the ring though bc he deserve a payday. Sergio got shafted in the cintron fight and williams fight. I thought he won both.

**** that Cintron fight. There should be a group in boxing to turn over ******ed AZZ decisions. At least Paul came there to work that night.

maywqeather because the reach factor most people dont factor in his reach to size ratio he has and he would not strain to make 154 though martinez is thicker at that weight he keep his hands down a lot floyd wont hurt him but he will hit him enough at range when his hands are down to make martinez have to fight him aggresive

manny no way it has nothing to do with size its about style and marteniz style plus power is al wrong for pac he will catch a similar punch as williams, i just think floyd will be able to deal with martinez better because he has defence

No they wont, he is a good boxer with fast hands and good power, and know his way around the ring, and bigger than them. This not the classic good small boxer against a clumsy bigger fighter.

They are proven P4P leaders standing at #1 and #2 which means they already proved that hey can beat bigger guys and the bigger guys who seemed to be challenging for them are staying way in the past.

Martinez definitely have some advantages related to size buy asking if they have a chance is just a dumb.

Not size but skills matter, they are faster and definitely more skilled than Martinez.
