He routinely beat a lt. middeweight/middleweight Shawn Porter in sparring. So yes, he can.

Who knows? I wouldn't count him out because he's an extremely talented fighter, but Roach has said 147 is the limit. He might slow done considerable with an extra 7lbs again, or he might not be able to take punches at 154, or his power might not have the impact it does now.

At this point I would think he'd have to be favored against the smaller jr Middles like Foreman, Spinks, and Julio. He would NOT beat Daniel IMO, as someone suggested earlier. I really don't know how he'd fare against any of the big Jr middles, but nothing would surprise me with this man.

i know he could beat foreman. i think he could beat spinks. i'd stay away from williams and martinez. aside from foreman those are all southpaws. has anyone ever seen pac against southpaws, and how did he do? one of his biggest assets is he's southpaw. not sure how he deals with looking in the mirror.

Dangerous David Diaz. I think he was the last southpaw Pac faced. I remember Lamp and Stewie saying he should face southpaws from then on since he looked really comfortable squaring up on that stance.

I wouldn't be so sure on either point. Mayweather might not necessarily beat every '54-lber in the world, principly because he struggled at the weight with a past-prime De La Hoya. Williams could beat him at 154lbs, and Martinez might cause some problems aswell at the weight.

Also, if Pac was to beat Mayweather at 147, it wouldn't really have any reflection on how he'd perform at '54 until we see him at the weight. His class as a fighter is unquestionable, but it's the physical alterations that might limit him. He might not carry his power or speed for example.

Again, we can't definitively say this until we see him at the weight. I certainly wouldn't be that confident of him beating Sergio Martinez at 154 pounds either. There's a few others that would definately problem him aswell like Alfredo Angulo - if he couldn't beat Angulo up.

True. But this is coming from Pacquiao's own camp. Roach said that 147 pounds is the limit, they are going further. And actually when you think about it, we haven't even seen him as a real 147, he's still scaling at about 144/145.
