Bob Arum owns Margarito, this isn't a simple fight between Pacquiao and Margarito one on one in the ring. Its another top rank in house fixer, without Arum, Margarito might never get another chance at anything approaching a big fight, he knows his role in this particular show. Just like Clottey did.

Margarito punched it off.

 

Margo somehow manages to punch the guys ear off. It was one of the most brutal things I've ever seen in the ring. Margo managed to keep nailing his ear and before the fight was stopped you could see the top of the ear flapping around as the guy moved. It was gross.

 

I always thought that guy was Cotto. It looks exactly like him.

All the hugging (not talking clinching) Clottey was doing during the Pac fight was getting on my nerves. It's as if he was saying, "Thanks for the oppertunity to be richer than the president of Ghana."

I love this sport, and would hate to think that fights are getting fixed in these days. But, looking at the Clottey fight and seeing how Roach and Arum have been sticking with in house fighters; It's hard to just dismiss that conspiritorial notion.

 

The guys suffered from Cauliflower ear - a common occurrence with wrestlers and grapplers. Not really with boxers because it is caused mainly by constant friction to the ear.

It is when the skin of the ear detaches from the ear ligament. Blood then enters the space between.

Any decent strike would cause a cut and rapture the ear. Bloody messy.
