Hahaha. Dude, if you're going to completely change the subject to cover up the fact that you got owned, don't put 'idiots like you just go off topic all the time' at the start! Schoolboy error.

BTW, 'Margocheater' is really poor, Margocheato, Plasterito or Concreto are far preferable...

Neither Shane nor margarito should be forgiven.
Drugs cheats should be kicked out for good, it makes a mockery of the hard work fighters and athletes in any sport have to put in.
Margarito and his hand wraps should also merit a life ban. Its not fun and games.

it was plaster in his wraps right?

when the sweat combines with the plaster, the plaster hardens and forms a hard shell around the hand.

it is perfectly possible that margarito didn't know his hands were being wrapped in plaster. when ur getting psyched up for a fight and ur in your own zone letting ur trainer wrap ur hands it is believeable that u wouldnt notice a small detail like the consistency or "feel" of the material your hands are being wrapped in

im playing devils advocate here because i really think he did have some idea, especially when the plaster would begin to harden and it cant have been that comfortable on his own hands either?

id like to see him box again his fighters are entertaining and hes a warrior who has been through alot of challenges in his life

For me Margarito can't redeem himself, taking performance enhancing drugs is one thing.....but using illegal handwraps is something even more serious!

He could have killed an opponent and he can't honestly think the public or people in boxing can believe him when he says he knew nothing about it.......he knew exactly what was going on!

Just makes you wonder how many other fights he had these wraps for!!!

I can agree with that. For me, if boxing really wants to be taken seriously because it's still very corrupt right now, they need to penalize these cheats like other international sports. These cheats need to be stripped of their records and wins, and prize money be paid back.

If the UCI (cycling's sanctioning body) can strip a rider of a Tour de France win (that's like the super bowl of cycling), then boxing can do the same. Even gold medals can be stripped if you cheat. Marion Jones' was stripped of her records and wins going back to 2002.

Boxing needs to punish these guys, tough love style. And then, Margo will be deserve his comeback.

Check out the slide show of Cotto/Margarito at HBO's website. There is a picture of Margo with his gloves off and his wraps look pretty goddamn suspicious. HBO even commented on the picture as evidence that he had loaded gloves in that fight.

this thread is about A$$hole Margocheato (happy?) not SSM. It is a typical argument by his nuthuggers when defending their boy . . . scorch the earth policy. The fact of the matter is he did the crime he should do the time. The precedent for having plaster in ones gloves is a lifetime ban . . . why should he be treated differently?

    Mosely really battered the bloke..

Im not sure where Margaritos career is at..

All wraps aside, he didnt look too good against
Mosely - and Im not sure we can just put it down
to Shane getting his head right..

I give Berto a really good chance against Mosely,
that will tell the tale - In terms of form lines.
Margarito looked weak, credit to the bloke, he takes
it on the chin with a grin, but he did looked very drained.

I think Berto will beat Mosely aswell, actually Im very
confident that he will beat Shane.

I will never watch Margarito fight again. I don't care who it's against. I refuse to support his career in any way.

After he wins his first fight 50% of you will forget about his cheating. After he wins another big fight...25 more percent. If he wins a few big fights, and proves to be the warrior he used to be....I guarantee only about 5% of people on here will bring up his past cheating. People flock to winners!
I like Margarito, like his style, etc. I don't favor his cheating cuz it's dirty, and you could really hurt somebody. People do make mistakes though, and based on how he lacked punching power honestly (he's accumalitive fighter) I wouldn't guess he wrapped his hands like that for to long of a time. He wins a few fights LEGIMATELY and I'll forget about it, and so will you boxing fans...
