what's the point of this thread? honestly, who cares if jmm can beat clottey or margo....he fought 2 wars with pac, and unlike morales and MAB, he is being denied a third...and really..wtf wasthe point of pac-mab 3?

 

Marquez would beat Clottey and Margo pretty easily.Cotto would give him a much harder fight.

 

Pac and MAB only fought twice........no point in a 3rd fight when Pac thoroughly and easily outfought MAB both times.

 

As has already been pointed out MAB didn't get a 3rd fight. And Morales got his because he won a fight, record stood 1-1 and needed to be settled. You get your trilogy by winning one of the fights in your match. Marquez put up a very good showing, but ultimately tied the first and lost the second. Pac has nothing to gain by fighting a trilogy here, he wins oh he won the trilogy but given wins stand at 1-0 right now he already has done that. Then there is the possibilty however small that he loses and it ends up 1-1-1 now trilogy is tied and he has to fight JMM again. That eats up 2 fights when he doesn't have that many left. Now some may argue the fights were close and should have gone to JMM, but another fact is if it wasn't for a judges error the trilogy would have been 2-0 Pac. Pac got the second because he deserved to win the first. So if JMM really wants that rematch he should start making noise in Pacs division. Since its clear that there is just not enough incentive for Pac to drop 2 weight classes and potentially waste 2 of his remaining fights.
