Another question that should be asked: Can Marquez beat Mosley at 147? JMMorons answer this.

I don't think so. Marquez is good only up to the lightweight, he will be raped by these guys mentioned. It is understandable for JMM fans to feel that way because their fighter really gave Pacquiao trouble in their two meetings. They have the right to think that Marquez is far better than Pac. But their last match up can be considered already a history when you think of what Pac had become after moving up from 130lbs. Pacquiao noticeably improved not only bringing his punching power with him at welter but as well his skill from one dimensional to complete fighter. JMM skill-wise has improved also, but everyone knows he can't hurt people above 135, much more at 147. If eagerness sets to him to face guys above lightweight, it would be better if he test the water first at 140 with Bradley to get used to bigger guys before fully brawling at welterweight. But with his age I think it's too late for that, it would be logical if he stick and remain at lightweight, then retire.

i think the real worry for team pac is that JMM is competitive in a fight with Pac and it mights Floyd look even better.

Roach has been itching to fight JMM to "shut them up" - both Nacho and JMM himself.

Arum is unwilling because JMM can't draw his own family to his own fight. Which is unfortunate but the reality.

Cotto and Margarito would stop Marquez, they are simply too big, too powerful, too strong. Clottey doesn't really know how to use his size as well as the other two, but if Clottey was in the same mindset as he was when he fought Cotto, I'd back him to get the stoppage as well, he'd have a big weight advantage over Marquez on the night.

I'm on record as stating that Pac vs Mosley will sell less than 1 million buys........

......and I've been pretty accurate on my PPV buy predictions......when everyone was trouncing on Margarito as an opponent for Pacquiao, I said it made sense in that it would generate about the same ammount of PPV's that Pac-Cotto generated.
I hit that on the nose.......

......and I'm going to hit Pac-Mosley on the nose as well......
.....well under 1 million PPV buys, where Pac JMM would sell between 1.2 to 1.5 million.

Mannys a superior puncher and much faster than Clottey, Cotto, and Margarito. Manny couldn't stop him no way are any of the welters stopping Marquez. A knockdown of Jmm wouldn't surprise me, but he hits hard enough to hurt them. The thing about Marquez hurt or not he doesn't fold or budge from his gameplan while Cotto falls apart. He's simply not as tough as Marquez and Cotto might even be winning the fight, but once Marquez starts landing and hurting him Cotto will fold. Marquez vs Margarito would be interesting because of the clash of styles and also southern vs nothern Mexico rivalry. Marquez is more adapted to higher weights now, but he's up there in years, so probably doesn't want to fight for too long. Pacquiao 4 after Pacquiao-Mayweather, Peterson, Morales, and Rios would be great way to finish his career.
