No probably not in the context that you are referring to, but he would beat him throughly and soundly, and make it look very easy.

Floyd would beat Cotto the way he beat Gatti! Cotto didn't want any of Floyd after seeing that ass whipping he put on Gatti and even Arum said Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd!

I know what you mean about the distance, he'll stand right in front of his opponent to land 3 bodyshots and then go upstairs, but I think the ironic thing here is if this fight happens Cotto will give Floyd problems with his jab. I'm not sayin he'll outbox Floyd, but at this stage in his career Cotto still has a solid, strong jab. Floyd will be laying on the ropes as usual with the shoulder roll and he might humble Cotto, but I don't think he has the pop Pacquiao has. Even JMM admited Pacquiao hit harder than Floyd did, but Floyd ever since his lightweight days doesn't make ko victories a top priority. He just wants a secure win. Like I mentioned earlier it took powerful or heavy handed punchers like Pacquiao and Margarito to stop Cotto and it happened late in the fights. I'm not saying Floyd can't, but even if he knows he can I don't think he's a risk taker giving Cotto any chances of landing a lucky punch and prefer to dominate or cruise to a decision. He's done it in the past and he'll do it again. He's a defensive fighter he beats fighters with speed and timing, not power or aggression.

No because he WON'T fight him. But in fantasy fights, Floyd would potshot him to a wide UD.

Floyd doesn't give out beatings because of his hands...he gives out boxing lessons. PAc, AM and Cotto...they give beatings and take them as well. Check out the three fighters ko losses lol...
