Prime for prime, Cotto gives him a tough fight. Think Castillo - Floyd 1 , maybe tougher. Cotto crouches low, he wouldn't there to hit with Floyd's lead hook or lead right. In order to 'beat down' Cotto you need to put punches together and Floyd doesn't do that. Floyd would look to either potshot cotto or try to outmuscle him like he did Mosley. Either way, it would be a tough fight because Cotto was a good pressure fighter and a great body puncher with a great jab and underrated handspeed. He only lost to guys who were bigger or more aggressive then him.

Cotto was a nice fighter don't get me wrong but he's one handed. Shorter with less stamina and he is easily hit. Floyd would have an easy night especially after 5 rounds where Cotto goes backfoot and tries his best impersonation of being a slick fighter while getting tagged. Floyd takes Cotto into deep water and drowns him.

 

G, they use Castillo as an example of how Cotto would give Floyd a good fight even though Floyd was a young champion yet don't want critics to use JMM or Morales as examples of how to beat Pac lol...
