Cotto is never in his life elite. He's only like a 3 time world champion in 3 weight classes. He probably out of all fighters in the last decade has the most vacant titles won out of anybody. He's a nice fighter. But be real. He always showed weakness throughout his career. He's a one handed fighter and a borderline front runner in fights. After 5 or six he really decays and stinks. Who do you think created Paulie Maliggnagi?The answer is Miquel Cotto. I undersand people are vouching for him because he's Manny's 2nd best win but quite honestly he was always green and folded everytime he was under the true "bright lights". He will get into the HOF but wont be considered an ATG unless he does something very drastic coming up at the end of his career. He's in no way an elite fighter. Micheal Jennings and Yuri Foreman are Top Rank stooges much llike Golden Johnson was for Margarito after he lost to PW.
