Can Mayweather jr become a 6 division Champion @ a catchweight of 156 pounds?

I'd say beating the king of the MW division makes Cotto far from "damaged goods", but I'm unsure what the relevance of the point is?

At 156 Quillin probably have the hardest time with the weight. So, maybe.

GGG, Martinez if his knee is healed beat Floyd easy. Martinez would have beat him at 154 a few years ago when he was a 154 fighter. Sturm even beats him if he can make the weight.

Floyds only hope is his opponent making a hash of the weight cut. He just is not big/sturdy enough to fight true 160's , or even a 154 like Martinez who is fast and has power equivalent to a MW.

Not that I want to see the fight anyhow. I am sick of seeing bouts that are decided basically by the dieticians. Floyds a master tactician at 147, he should stay there.

 

Why not a catchweight of 154.5 lbs for the MW title? That'll be better for CATCHweather.

This talk of a mw title is a bunch of crap. Floyd's body has reached it's max at wound 150lbs. PAC and Floyd started fighting around the same weight, PAC in the pros ans Floyd in the ams and now they weigh the same. You cannot compare either to anyone else because verybody's body matures at a different rate at reaches its limits based on genetics. Nobody should expect Floyd to go to 160 anymore than PAC. Fighter like durAn and hearns got naturally thicker as time went on.
