That means he can't beat Floyd. There's nothing wrong in saying that the fight is a mismatch.

Nah.. I don't even like Floyd, but I do respect his abilities in the ring. The mental aspect I'm referring to is inside the ring.. Cotto has to fight the most intelligent fight he's ever fought. Fighting Floyd is a Chess game.. Fighting Manny is checkers.

The 1 inch height and 72-67 reach advantage in addition to everything else I give Mayweather has me thinking stoppage. Seeing what he does with Cotto's jab is exciting to think about...

Cotto is going to try and box with Mayweather. It will not work.

The old, walk forward, body-punching Cotto would have had more of a chance, but still no chance.

i think some will make a mistake in watching cotto vs margarito and pacquiao and think he's too finished to be competive against a superior boxer such as floyd mayweather. The problem is Cotto likes to fight at a pace he's comfortable with, which against pacquiao and margarito he wasn't allowed to fight at that pace, so he had problems. He had problems with torres aswell when torres brought it on big time. Cotto could do well against mayweather. I'm not sure if he'll beat mayweather because mayweathe is a very talented boxer, but i think he'll give floyd a really tough fight. Body punches, a good jab, and a very good right hand. Yep it could be really good.

Floyd has been getting caught more since his comeback from latest retirement. Even ortiz caught floyd good a couple of times and cotto is better than ortiz in nearly every department.
