This TS has to be asking if Ali (at his peak) could have beaten any HW ever?

Why the f*ck are you talking about Norton and Spinks, with regards to the hypothetical question?

You seriously think that Joe Frazier wouldn't cause problems for some of today's top ten, just because of his size? :patsch

Your obvious hate is clouding your judgement, or lack of.

Frazier would have no chance against the giants? None at all?

We've seen Wlad get bullied and knocked down against Sanders, Brewster, Purity. We've seen him go life and death with Sam Peter.

We've never seen him face anybody, as tough and determined as Frazier, with that insane pressure. Forget his size, he would cause problems today. I'd take him over Fury any day of the week.

Ali was not that special? He had a three year lay off, and fought and beat Frazier and Foreman past his best.

What do you mean the grand old age of 31?

Don't you realise that certain fighters can age quicker than others?

Ali had many miles on the clock at 31 and 32. He was taking huge punishment in training, and he was an old fighter at that point.

It's an absolute joke that you've compared Floyd's age with Ali's.

    Ha!

You've just compared a former SFW, who's had 45 fights, to a HEAVYWEIGHT who'd had 58 fights, who'd been pounded by the likes of a 24 year old George Foreman for 8 rounds.

You obviously have a real problem with circumstances.

You shouldn't even be talking about Leon Spinks in this thread.

It's like me saying "I don't think the McBride version of Tyson could have done much against Ali."

    It's completely pointless.

Are we saying that Ali couldn't have beaten Lewis, Tyson, and the K's, because he lost to Leon at 36?

Hell, why don't you try and use Berbick as some sort of proof to back up your argument.

If you want to debate, then have a debate on how you think a 1966/67, 24-25 year old version of Ali would have done, whilst at the top his game, against the other HW's in history.

the best giants of today, Ks truly, were destroyed by journeyman Brewtser of similar weight and Byrd even lighter.

    You know nothing.

But if that wasn't bad enough, you tell others who know more than you, that they know nothing.

He's mentioned Leon Spinks, and then compared Ali to Floyd Mayweather.

    The guy's a joker!

Well clearly, I judged rightly in not arguing with you, G.

Your encyclopaedic and detailed knowledge of the era and its characters, combined with your incisive and perspicacious analysis of the zeitgeist, not to mention your clear psycho-political insights of the era, would render you far too formidable for me to even deign to question.

Keep on posting and telling it like it was !

This has to be by far the worst part of that diabolical post of Galtone.

Does Galtone get off with saying someone with Parkinsons should be performing better because hes not 'old'.

That's like a healthy guy jogging past a Parkinsons patient in a hospital ward and telling them they aren't trying hard enough to keep up. What kind of a illogically evil **** says that?

Furthermore it may well be a Parkin gene that Ali carried that harboured his Parkinsons potential. Do you really think its ok to blame someone with a genetically induced physically crippling disease for not performing? Holy Mother of creation.
