    Did John Murray not have a long break due to a similar situation? he never collapsed & no coma etc but i think he had a brain scan that caused concern, couldn't have been too serious as subsequently cleared to fight Simpson and Crolla. Murray was one of my favourite domestic fighters

    no m8 he had swollen pituitary gland think the BBBOC thought he had a brain tumour. Remember watching John Murray talking to Buncey about it on Boxnation

    Well said JJ. I don't think the penny has dropped with boxing people in Ireland how serious this is.
    Coming on he heels of the fatal shooting at the MGM boxing weigh in at a Dublin hotel recently, this kind of thing will definitely hurt boxing in Ireland.

    It's out and out thuggery and should be banned. It's bad news for boxing, as boxing will be tarred with the one brush in many people's eyes.

    Kieran Farrell was unable to box again after the Crolla fight due to Brain damage.
    Depends on the extend of Nick Blackwell's injuries. But after the media coverage I think BBBofC will want to protect themselves (and Blackwell) and refuse a license

    Really good prospect. He started training with John Breen in Belfast and won 3 fights before the Crolla defeat. Collapsed after the fight - due to dehydration I think.

    Amazing fight. It might still be on ColdwellTV
