    No.

GSP isn't getting beaten anytime soon. He's in a shell.

Better all around yes but he doesnt have better Jiujitsu which is what I meant. The only GSP has fought with as good as striking and Jiujitsu as Diaz was BJ who was much smaller and mentally not as strong.

BJ is mentally weak? Is Shields and Kos mentally weak also, because they didn't switch gameplans and go for broke against GSP either? BJ was beaten because GSP is MUCH bigger and stronger and has way too good of wrestling and takedowns, for a smaller man to deal with.

Nick Diaz isn't subbing GSP. Just like he didn't sub Diego or Sherk when they were on top of him. And Im almost positive that GSP will outstrike Diaz as well in between takedowns and ground n pounding him.

BJ is mentally weak compared to a guy like Diaz. When has BJ ever rallied back to win ? I cant think but I could be wrong. When things start going wrong he breaks down and cant comeback. With Diaz all you have to do is go back last month when in the hell has anyone got up from a Daley lefthook left alone get up to knock him out 40 secounds later ?

Sherk and Diego ? Those fights where over 5 years ago when Diaz was probably still a 23 year old Purple Belt and who has EVER submitted those guys. I watched Roy Nelson fight Diego in NAGA I think it was and he couldnt even submit him. Im not picking Diaz by submission but this guy has amazing Jiujitsu far better then it was several years ago. Dont believe ask a Blackbelt like Cyborg who Diaz armbared in about 30 secounds on the ground in a lower percentage armbar at that.

Your prediction could very well be true infact id say that its most likely. My point is that Diaz is a pretty tough challenger and his track record and skills back it up. Extremly effective boxer, world class Jiujitsu, a granite chin and stamina for days. Hard guy to finish and a hard guy to dominate.

CAN he? Sure. So can I if GSP has the worst day of his life. But he won't, and he won't come close. At all.

Its hard to say as Alvez approach is based around being a complete striker and Diaz is based around beating you up with his hands.

Diaz would lose a striking match but win a boxing match.

I'd love to see Diaz vs Alvez as Diaz would stand with him.

Anyone who votes NO is just being silly... the question is CAN Diaz beat GSP & that answer is definitely YES.

Whether you think he WILL is different... Nick is the next best WW in the world & in the form of his career, he will start as underdog just like any other WW would but he is a great fighter & GSP COULD (& my guess is will) be in for the toughest night of his life, win, lose or draw.

Thats the way I see it. GSP will not let Diaz pitty pat him the whole night and WILL take him down after the first hard shot. Then its the same old GSP from the guard, controling Diaz all night, and you'll see Diaz flick him off while he's on his back.

dude your an idiot you dont even explain your reasons why? gsp is on a hype train and will soon lose his title because he will try and prepare his lay and pray game plan like he did to thiago alves however this time he will submitted by an opponent who has amazing bjj and his boxing is arguably the best in the ww division.

Well GSP is the best ground fighter in the division and only an idiot would expect him not to train diligently in his submission defence for Diaz
