What do you think? In my opinion Nishioka can score the upset on Saturday. He is confident on a huge win streak. Donaire on the other hand has lost that spark he had back up at Super Bantamweight. Not as powerful and flashy clearly. My story: http://www.blboxing.com/2012/10/donaire-nishioka-rios-alvarado-warriors.html

What do you think about it? Can Nishioka steal it? Poll soon!

I wouldn't understand anyone who says he "can't". But, yes, I favour Donaire, a little bit.

Dumb thread...anytime someone get in the ring they always have a chance. The only time they don't have a chance is if they duck at all cost like Floyd ducking PAC.

Puncher's chance. Nishioka got in trouble against Gonzalez and lucky to get a decision against Rafa Marquez. Did not impress as anything special, but a solid champion he is.

Yes of course but I think Donaire will win spectacularly in a very tough fight.

Yes, Nishioka is famous for his spartan work ethnic and his year round fanatical dedication to his craft. He's probably spent every spare moment obsessing about this fight and concocting a gameplan to beat Donaire.

He has nightmarish speed, dynamite in his left hand, he's very adept at making himself a small target by ducking and pivoting away from shots, he doesn't neglect the body, he's accurate and he always punches in combination.

In short he's the type of guy who would give even a Wilfredo Gomez or an Erik Morales a tough fight at 122. Donaire will have to come in more focused than he did against Vasquez or Mathebula or he'll be in trouble. That being said, I do expect him to be more focused so he probably will come out victorious.

Are you the same size as Wald? If you are then ofcourse you have a chance. You might land a haymaker and land Wald in LaLaLand. But if your 5'5 130lbs you still have a 1% chance .

There is a lot going on here. Is Nishioka rusty after his year out? Have these "personal problems" affected him in any way? Is Donaire serious when he says he's going back to boxing? We don't know. My guess is this could be a hell of a fight.

Gonzales got smashed by Penalosa kid got power but is fragile.Going by form I favor Donaire. I reckon Mathebula is better than Euro level Munroe. But I could be wrong.Donaire has looked terrible with these solid world champions at 122.He might look terrible again against Nish but eek out a win, but just.

I think Mathebula is better, but I don't think there's that much in it. Has Mathebula lost 4 or 3 out of his last seven? It's at a high level, but still, that's not much better than "Euro Level", if at all.
