Mosley would knock Pacquiao out and give him brain damage, Pac would be selling donuts again. Pac is waiting for Mosley to turn 45 years old and rather face a B level bum in Clottey and Margarito the guy Mosley knocked the **** out in beast mode fashion.

pac's best win at welter (cotto) trumps floyd's best win at welter (mosley) already. you could argue it's equal but no way mosley was a better win. and you had pac doing this so in his only 2nd fight at the weight where as floyd took 5 years to fight an elite welter in mosley.

now let's have clottey and delahoya for pac and baldomir, judah and hatton for floyd at the weight. now we can say that their resume is almost at par with each other with pac doing it in less fights and less years at the weight.

Considering Mosley was recognized as the real welterweight champion and the fact Cotto isn't the same fighter pre Margarito I beg to differ sir, many saw Cotto losing the fight against Clottey as well.

Correct, He seems to walk em down and like I stated... after 2-3rds it's all Floyd!! I think if he sat back, boxed & countered he prolly would rarely get caught at all!!

Shane was ranked higher than Cotto when Floyd beat him due to the fact that he destroyed the man who destroyed Cotto . Not to mention how bad Cotto looked against Clottey where he was outlanded . Cotto was already labeled "damaged goods" with good reason and also add that Cotto was pretty much the head of his training camp and a catchweight. How about we just call those wins even steven?:deal

A brutal Ko is more impressive than a decision obviously, it's not a more accomplished win than the Mosley fight sorry. Cotto isn't the same fighter Pre Margarito either and wasn't the real champion. Mayweather isn't a knockout fighter pretty stupid comparison.

So ur basically saying that Pac's best win at WW(Cotto at 145lbs) trumps Floyd beating Mosely who arguably beat Cotto & destoyed Margo who destroyed Cotto??

well mosley looked more damaged or shot tahn cotto after both their respective fights with floyd and pac.

i have no problem with them even as far as accomplishment. i just took account of where ripcity thinks floyd has a far superior wins at welter.

From Mitchell to Mosley, 4 1/2 years including the 21 month retirement. That means: Floyd has fought 6 times at welterweight in, minus vacation time, 2 1/2 years. Mayweather has done enough to be considered a top 10 147 pounder all time where Pacquiao has done nowhere near enough. Pacquiao is a tremendous P4P fighter, but you've got to be real, he does not have a legacy at any weight other than 130 pounds.

De la Hoya was in his last fight, dropped down in weight at a time in his career where the most casual boxing fan could see it was suicide. AND he had just gotten beaten by Floyd at his better weight for age a whole 18 months before. And Clottey, please. I don't need to say anything about that.

Judah was coming off a loss, but had just lost the lineal title. Baldomir, on the other hand, was the legit lineal champion. I know Hatton had only one big victory at welterweight, but Hatton was undefeated in 40 fights and the lineal champ of the division right below. JMM is just icing on the cake. Regardless of the weight, JMM was the #2 P4P in the world when Floyd came back. That is the most impressive tune-up fight in boxing history.

Let's be real. In order to be impartial, you must admit that both the Judah win and the Baldomir win are far more impressive and legacy building than Joshua Clottey even if Pacquiao had KO'd his ass in the 5th round, which he did not and came nowhere close to.

all points where covered in that thread, please read or browse it. also mosley is coming only after a great stoppage over margo but that was 1.5 hence and with his age, that year of lay-off is detrimental and it shows in their fight and immediately in the mora fight.

you cannot argue mosley beating cotto. the fight was close but a clear win for cotto. and yes cotto was pac's best win at welter.

Very good point. I could hear Floyd now saying something like "Yeah I came back from a vacation and took a tune up fight against the guy that beat you twice"
