Floyd beats ALL of Pac's opponents, IMO. The guy was a monster at 130. MAB, EM, and JMM would have a TON of problems with his slickness, footwork, and his speed. Also, his power was truly on display, at that weight. At 135...Floyd murders David Diaz...period. At 140....Hatton would be get the same beating he got at 147. It's simply a matter of styles, and in his prime, Floyd was a machine.

Pac I give a chance of stopping Corrales. But, Pac has an equal chance of being stopped, just based on the styles. Pac was quite rough around the edges at 130. Corrales length would give him problems, while his speed would give Corrales problems. Castillo might be too much for Pac at LW, I think. Pac would have his moments, and could pull off a points victory if he chose to move and box. But, it would look nothing like his destruction of Diaz, IMO. Castillo was a pretty big LW, with great infighting skills (as Floyd found out in their first fight). It would be tough fight for Pac, due to Castillo's size and skill at that weight. And Castillo would have trouble with Pac's lateral movement and angles, I think. Actually, I think Augustus would be a tough one for Manny, due to his awkwardness and toughness, as well. But, I give the edge to Manny, in this one, based on his sheer physical advantages.

The 140 lb Manny beats all of Floyd's 140 lb opponents, IMO.

At 147, I would have to favor Manny in a points victory over an aging SSM (the version of SSM Floyd fought). But, I think SSM could possibly catch him with a bomb, and score the KO. His hands are still quite fast, and he's bigger, stronger, and hits harder (with a single shot) than Manny, IMO. Roach has avoided this fight, for obvious reasons.

WW Manny outpoints Baldomir with speed and angles, beats Judah by stoppage (if he does not get stopped early himself), Mitchell by stoppage. WW Floyd outpoints Cotto, destroys WW Oscar (the one Manny fought), outpoints Clottey.

I'll reserve judgment on what Manny could do against the version of the 154 lb ODLH Floyd fought, until I actually see him fight above WW...

I would agree, I think he beats Floyd as well. He was pretty good.

Floyd has beat up 6 southpaws in his entire career. His 2nd pro fight was against a southpaw. If a nig*a don't know how to fight southpaws, do you REALLY think they would have thrown him in with one, when he was still a young prospect?

Young Mayweather has gone 40 rounds total with the 6 southpaws in his career. Only 1 managed to win any rounds, Zab Judah won a grand total of 2 rounds for the southpaw platoon.

Good albeit futile. Two fighters on the same level but now at a different level than their respective opponents. Personally I would give the edge to Floyd primarily because Manny wasn't a great fighter he is now half of his career. Floyd OTOH has a mature and polished technique early on his career and hence better. Anyone can still make a case for both though.

no opponent on pac's resume would have beaten floyd (cotto included)
no opponent on floyd's list beats pac imo (some may give him trouble, but outside of the proverbial 'puncher's chance', pac wins)

with that said...any version of floyd beats any version of pac, IN MY OPINION.

    don't kill me lol

Aside from the out of touch super fans, the Mayweather debate won this time.

Pacquiao never lost to Marquez and remains the only fighter to ever stop Barrera or Morales. All 3 of those guys Floyd TKOed were either KOed previously or multiple times afterwards by journeymen.

    Style makes fights.

No offense to Chico Corrales, he's really elite and a decent KO artist. But if Pac handled 3-4 ATGs in the lower weight, he will handle Chico just fine. :deal Maybe not as explosive as how FMJ punished Chico, but i'll put my money on Pac.

As for Castillo, i have mad respect for him, but the gameplan that Castillo put in against Floyd are the types of style that Pac KOs in less than 6 rounds.

How long have you been watching boxing? That's not a stoppage.

Do you think Paul Williams stopped Kermit Cintron, too? :patsch

Who are you kiddin'. Do you know how to read arguments at all?

I can't stop laughing at some of the Floyd arguments to be perfectly honest, they are ridiculous. Very few impartial posters siding on him.
