“Pacquiao lunges in and reaches you like he did against the much taller Chris Algieri, so catching Mayweather won’t be a problem,” said Donaire.

Fighters doesn't know how fast PAC close in on them until they fight him. Floyd is going to take a bad beating. The thing with Floyd is when he gets hit he goes to rope and does his turtle shell...he's taking a beating, he's taking a bad beating.

If Pac can't control the distance, he is going to take a beating. Lunging in against Mayweather with his reach and footwork doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Yes he will catch him and many times too. It all depends how hard he catches him to do the necessary damage to be in the fight. Pacquiao certainly has the speed and power to trouble Mayweather. I will be genuinely shocked if this fight ends with a clear winner.

Exactly people who know boxing already know this and it's one of the biggest reasons why PBF will hjve his way with him. PBF has a huge reach advantage in this fight and he knows how to fight tall. Pac is known to lunge in and doing so against a master counter puncher like PBF is a recipe for disaster.

lol at that list. You are not making a good case for your position. Oscar weighed less than Pac, Algieri was still living in his Mom's basement, Margarito was coming off a one year suspension and beating from Mosley, Mosley was coming off a beating from Mayweather and Clottey was probably paid off. Cotto is Pac's best win imo but he was doing okay until he got into a firefight with Pac. Mayweather won't do that unless he thinks he can take Pac out.

Pac's foot speed is great. If Maidana caught Floyd as much as he did I'm sure Manny will be able to.

Controlling the distance could and would require him to stand in the middle of the ring. If he does that, he's getting pummeled to a one-sided loss like Alvarez and many before him was. Pacquiao needs to be in Mayweather's face, throwing punches from odd angles and continuously forcing Mayweather to the ropes.

I don't think so. Mayweather would love for this fight to take place inside and on the ropes where he can rough Pac up. Pac is not an inside fighter at all. If Pac can't fight at a distance where he can get his punches off without lunging in, the fight won't be competitive.

Mosley has a longer reach than Mayweather and still got his butt kicked for eleven and a half rounds. Judah is about the same size as Mayweather, has a similar reach and was extremely quick. If Pac was Judah's size, then he would have a much better chance. Unfortunately, he's not. By the way, Pac fought that shot Mosley after Mayweather. Before then, Freddie said he was too good and would have to weigh 142 if he wanted to fight Pac.
