Man -- Scout is old and fat now!:patsch

No matter what happens in the future, ya gotta give JT one thing; he will always be the first to force Pavlik to go 12 hard rounds!

If Pavlik and Calzaghe fight, after watching the Cal/Hops fight I would bet on Pavlik knocking him the 'f' out!

    Yes.

In my own mind, Taylor moved up a few notches that night, whilst Pavlik stayed about the same. Might sound silly, but the reason is simple. Taylor showed me some improvements, and some smarts I never thought him capable of. Despite this, I still hate the fraudulent ****. I expected Pavlik to win, but I saw nothing new from him and hence he stayed the same

Calzaghe's not getting any younger. If he's gonna fight Pavlik or Dawson it'd better be soon.

Can people drop this 'If Pavlik lands his murderous right hand, then it's over'......'If Calzaghe makes a mistake, then Pavlik will KO him'

When has Calzaghe ever looked like being knocked out?
Since when did Pavlik become a one punch KO artist?

Pavlik has heavy hands which need to land multiple times and break down his opponent. There is no way he finishes Calzaghe with one, it would take an accumulation..........and there's no way he'll do it against Calzaghe.

I can't wait for this fight, Pavlik is just about perfect for Calzaghe, it'll be a boxing masterclass from Joe.

How has Pavlik not fought anybody? He KO'd a tough fighter in Zertuche, KO'd the number 1 contender at middle weight at the time in Miranda who had only one prio rlost to the another champion (abraham), and KO'd Jermain Taylor who was at the time the undisputed, undefeated, best middleweight in the world. Then be beat him again.

If we are all going to claim that Calzaghe is great because he beat Hopkins, then Kelly Pavlik must be a god, because he dominated Taylor twice and Hopkins couldn't even beat Taylor in two tries. I can't believe people can say Pavlik has beaten nobody when he fought the best fights he could when they were given to him. Calzaghe past reads no better than Pavlik's and Kelly is only 26.

Pavlik KO's Calzaghe or Calzaghe slaps the crap out of him for a close decision

The fact is some Americans wont take to Calzaghe no matter who he beats.
When he schools Pavlik, people will jump off that train just like the Lacey huggers.

I can see your are obviously a homer defending JC so hard. I like him, he is a great fighter. But he is going to be going up against a fighter in Pavlik, who has a very similar work rate. At one point Pavlik was averaging more punches thrown a round then any other middleweight. Calzaghe wins because he puts so much pressure on and the fighters can't deal with it, thats why he always starts to take over about the 5th round. Pavlik will not be affected by this because he has nearly as of a high work rate and he will keep coming forward. I see the fight being great and very close. But I don't see how anyone can say that Pavlik has no chance.

It would have to happen in the first four rounds...the time Calzaghe is typically feeling out and getting his gameplan set. Look at the Kessler and Hopkins fights, and you'll see that's when they were doing the most to Joe. After that, Pavlik's hopes are dead as Joe takes him down the stretch.
