Paul Williams being at least 6-2 Could little Floyd get past his jab and height to even reach PW in the head?

This would be funny to see I think PW would clown FLoyd

It's about a 7 inch height difference. Other fighters have taken on bigger disadvantages. Floyd doesn't seem interested. Some all time great.

Yea, by counterpunching. For Willams to hit Floyd he also has to give up some of his height, especially if he intends to work the body which is a requisite to fighting a guy who is so hard to hit square to the head. Floyd could counter the **** out of Williams if he plays the high activity- sloppy punches in bunches style he used to where he gives up his height.

But if Williams uses his height and range, utilizes a stiff jab from the outside and outpoints Floyd for a few rounds, it would be a different thing all together.

Williams has the ability to be a long night for Floyd... whether he has the gameplan and discipline to stick to it is another story... dont really know.

There have been bigger disadvantages such as, Dwight Muhammad Qawi vs. George Foreman.

seriously did you see how quintana countered williams in the first fight?

floyd is 10x the counter puncher quintana is.

Williams needs to adapt his style to a lower workrate, higher accuracy style where his punches are meaningful, crisp, and adapted to his height and range.

I agree that Williams (Quintana) gets countered sill though.

Floyd would NEVER beat Williams,no way.
That fight would never happen for that reason.

Ndou was shorter than Williams. Still that was one of my favorite Floyd fights ever after the Corrales and Judah fights. Shame Floyd doesn´t go at his opponents like he did N´dou, although I realize this isnt practical at a higher weight class.

I think williams has a better chance of beating floyd than the other welters. He has huge workrate, decent enough power, decent enough chin, good speed... on top of the physical dimensions.

A swarmer like Williams would be harder for PBF than a slugger like Margo.

floyd doesn't get hit though, he rolls punchs and blocks so well that all williams would do is waste energy.. and then get popped by the best counter puncher in boxing. also floyd has an amazing chin its under rated cauzse he doesn't get in trouble

I can see Williams teeing off little Floyd from a comfortable distance. PBF will have difficulty reaching Williams head and will probably settle potshoting Wiliams' balls. :D
