khan out boxed him for most the fight but was forced to retreat for the last few rounds because of maidanas pressure and power.
the punch stats show khan landed twice as many as maidana!!!!
i personally gave maidana 4 rounds but it could be argued he only won 3. add the fact amir had a knock down and maidana a point deducted its a convincing win.
    khan threw 603 landed 273

    maidana threw 767 landed 156

im not saying khan is finished article because he isnt. he looked vunerable and his defence was poor at times but dont try and claim this fight was any closer the a 4 point lead for amir because it just wasnt.

Probably because a lot of refs would have stopped the fight when Khan was getting bombed.

I thought Khan swept the first 5 and went into round six with a 7 point lead. The only debatable round for me was 3. Khan took 8,9 and 11 (anybody who scored 11 for Maidana needs to seriously go back and watch the round, Khan landed some of his most effective punches of the fight and all Maidana did was land a couple of ineffective uppercuts inside and some weak left hooks to the body).

Because they have an irrational hatred for Khan and, for some reason, seem to be angry that he proved he can take a punch?

What has that got to do with the scoring? A lot of ref's may have stopped it, but they would have stopped it incorrectly. We are always complaining about bull**** stoppages, and then people wanted round 10 stopped when Khan was still, moving, still had his guard up and still wanted to fight?

People's hate for Khan is ridiculous. I didn't know it was that bad that people are saying he should have been stopped in round 10. And if it isn't bias, then these people would stop a fight everytime a big shot was landed. Why wasn't Maidana stopped in round 1 straight away then? He was in more pain than Khan ever was in that fight.

no they wouldnt..... its a world title fight and amir is the champion. amir was covered up for most of the onslaught. plus he was well up on the score cards so its not like he was being hit consistanly. also thats besides the point. cortez didnt stop it and it went to decision. u have to look at each round and score the ****ing fight. if you actualy do that with out letting your khan hate filled mind warp every rational though in you have you will realise khan won!!!

No hate from me. I'm a Khan fan. Just trying to see it from an unbiased perspective.

not that a big deal to award Maidana rounds 3&11 due to his generalship and aggression and damage. It was a close contest and Maidana could have won it though Khan´s overall performance was much better it would be a bit unfair to award Maidana all the close rounds. The right man won but there are enough arguments to see it the other way. The point deduction was a bit ridiculous though. punchstats dont tell **** that was not an amateur boxing contest

    RD. 1: Khan 10-8
    RD. 2: Khan 10-9
RDS. 3-4: Maidana 10-9(he was very effective in rd. 3 and the 4th because he kept the tempo going, though re-watching I saw Khan did better than when I saw it live)
    RD 5: Khan 10-8
RDS. 6-7: Maidana 10-9(No way to discuss this rounds, he won clearly both)
    RDS. 8-9: Khan 10-9
RDS. 10-12: Maidana 10-9(The 10th I kept it 10-9 because I felt that being a Maidana fan will be tainting my scorecard if the score was 10-8, so, objectively is a 10-9 round. Rd. 11, yes Maidana missed a lot but Khan did nothing aside those 5 punches he landed on flurries, they were effective but being on the defensive basically the whole round, you are giving the round on a judges perspective. Rd. 12, Khan fooled a lot of people by throwing some flurries when Maidana already had the round won, so I don't think the 12th is even debatable.

Only the 4th round creates controversy, for the rest that's what I saw.

    113-113 DRAW

there is no way in my mind you can give the fight to maidana or evenb call it a draw..... do u agree khan atleast won 6 rounds? if you do the add a point for the kd and you have a winner. im being kind to maidana saying khan only won 6.

I already said what I saw in round 4 and Khan deserved the round, what it matters is what I saw live, re-watching means nothing. The judges don't change the cards after watching the fight, so why do I have to?? I believe the fifth is 10-8 Khan, so the deducted point on Maidana is there.
