If this fight ever happens, I think David Benavidez would be heavily favored and I think it would be seen as a major upset if Plant was able to beat David. But is Plant capable of winning? Do you see Plant outboxing David early on? How competitive would this be and do you see Caleb getting stopped?
I think he can for the first couple of rounds. But he has stamina problems and would just get KO'ed in the second half of the fight. It's sad to see so many inactive boxers in that division.
He would in the first rounds and then get KO'd. He has cardio problems as we saw against Truax and Canelo
He'd look good for the first five or six rounds but when he gases out Benavidez will give him a brutal beat down.
As much as i like Plant he would outbox Benavidez for 5 rounds and then get brutally KO'd. Benavidez's destruction of Lemieux was terrifying. He's one to watch out for
Is it fair to say that if you were advising Plant, that you would advise him to avoid taking on Benavidez next?
Plant lacks the power to fend off Benavidez. Plant will avoid getting in the ring with Benavidez and if does, expect a brutal KO.
If Plant did take the fight, I think he'd be desperate to avoid being knocked out and could end up fighting extremely negative just to last the distance.
No because Plant has a decent chance. If he avoids a dogfight he can win it and it's a win over a big name
After he won the title against uzcatequi (and looked sterling) he fought a string of straight bums he’s regressed since then due to weak comp and the Clenelo beating I’m sure has made matters worse benavidez will do something savage to him
Plant doesn't have the stamina to do "Caleb Plant things" for an entire 12 rounds and we've seen this in both of the "big" fights he had. The second he gets cornered he'll get pummeled into pulp.
Plant won’t be able to at any point. Benavidez has the faster, heavier hands, and a strong jab to stop Plant’s rhythm.
