If Prime Gennady Golovkin has the hand speed of prime Amir Khan, would he be an unstoppable middleweight boxer?

Could he beat this boxers in their prime?

    Canelo Álvarez
    Thomas Hearns
    Jake LaMotta
    Marvin Hagler
    Bernard Hopkins
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Sugar Ray Robinson

Marvin Hagler would still find GGG with too many shots
Bernard Hopkins would still probably be too cagey
Sugar Ray Leonard was almost as quick as Khan at 160, however Bhop, Hagler and Robi were all better than Leonard so out of these four I`d say GGG with Khan`s would have best chance against a gassing SRL.
Sugar Ray Robinson would still be too good, however GGG with that kind of handspeed would beat the rest on the OP`s list.

Would he batter Canelo enough not to get robbed this time? Yes, likely.

His hand speed was fine. He was mid 30s when he landed a lot on Canelo in the first fight, a Canelo on his bike with famously good defensive moves and reflexes.

He also caught plenty of fast fighters like Rosado, Geale, Jacobs, Monroe, Brook, and if you go back far enough he's dropping Bute in the ams.

He wasn't always 40 years old.

Golovkin with his power and chin plus khan's hand speed would be unstoppable. Anyone that says otherwise is clueless

GGG with that kind of hand speed would be quite a force. He'd have a solid chance of beating everyone on that list, although I'd give Robinson a decent shot because he's better at adapting and style switching mid-fight than anyone else on the list.

That said, Canelo is the only one on the list who'd stand no chance. He was on the bike against an over the hill GGG. He'd have to bring his 10-speed bike with a helmet for this one.

LOL with Khan's handspeed people would go to the morgue, nevermind "could he beat them"

That's a given. But considering how absurd that is lets think about something more feasible hypothetically. Like Khan with a good chin.

Khan with a good chin would be a hard out for anyone up to at least MW.

I agree. Khan's handspeed is ridiculous, matched only by the lack of quality of his eggshell chin. Against Alvarez, who is no slouch himself, Khan was landing 2-3 in the time it took Canelo to counter. Khan with a good chin might be able to beat a lot of guys on workrate alone.

Man Khans performance in that fight was really impressive. You could argue he was even or maybe even ahead at the time of the KO. Can't stand the guy as a person but really began to appreciate him as a fighter more after that and revisiting the Maidana fight. No chin... But insane handspeed, work rate and honestly he doesn't quit despite his severe handicap.

No. Khan's problem wasn't his chin, it was his defense and poor ring IQ.

I would also add ring IQ for Khan. After 3 rnds in the other fighter figures him out he has no plan B and when hurt he doesn't know how to clinch.

Yeah definitely didn't have the best IQ either, but I think with a good chin he would have been able to get away with a lot more.
