who on GGG resume of sorry welter weights and C level middle weights come even remotely close to level of marvin or Ray? name one! lets say Duran!

Duran would smash every fighter on GGG resume! every fighter!

Even that declined version of Hagler would probably bust up Golovkin and stop him. I don't understand how Golovkin can be picked over any version of Hagler based on his competition to date.

Sugar ray only achieved that one-off big win at 160.....and that was a bit of a con, against a faded, below par hagler who used all the wrong tactics against srl.

GGG is too big, too powerful, too good for Leonard at 160.

GGG would be competitive with hagler too.....though he would be facing a man his own size in that case. Hard to say who wins. GGG is very very complete, almost no defects.

This is why people give GGG fans such a hard time. Beats SRL an Hagler but has no one of note on his resume that is within 100000 light years of them.

Probably not. GGG's resume looks like a up coming prospect's resume compared to Leanord's.

GGG has never been in the ring with a fighter that is in the P4P ranking let alone top 10 like Leonard has.

By claiming GGG would 'annihilate' both you traded all your credibility for hyperbole. Utterly ridiculous statement which cannot be supported by any evidence, as the two ATGs mentioned have fight records which included each other and other greats, and GGG has Geale...

Does that he even need to be clarified?

I mean, if anyone can't see that, then they should start following another sport.

Here is my Point he May or may not Smash Ray .. Keep in mind Ray is 5'11 quick and Ring Savvy .. I don't See GGG trying to run through Ray with strength and punching power along, which is all he needed in his past fight.
With Hagler , GGG would have to come with his defense Game Drum tight or face getting his face lumped up by Hagler's Jab and KOed by his straight left or upper cut.
Also hagler was an excellent in fighter , outside boxer , counter puncher and cable of going 15 rounds as though it was a light jog !!
To say GGG could deal with that when he has not been tested in an insult..! No fault of GGG but let keep things in perspective ! The 70s and 80 s middle weight where far more talented and deep then todays devision!

Hagler stopped fighting GGG's level of competition when he was in philly. GGG doesn't come close to Haglers record.

Golovkin needs to be in elite fights to make a proper judgement, but the Hagler of the Leonard fight? Absolutely.

Golovkin beats 87 Hagler and late 70s Hagler. I actually think that's a mismatch.

80-85 Hagler was a complete and utter tank though. Can't pick GGG there.

Don't know why GGG doesn't have a chance against 87 Hagler. By that point Hagler was basically ruined.

That certain DEMOGRAPHIC starts shaking when somebody dares to say that half white, half Asian guy would beat their idols. The only reason Golovkin doesn't have very impressive resume is that his peer champions have been avoiding him for years knowing that he is WAY better than them. Duran may beat most of Golovkin's opponents, but Golovkin would smash the little guy and little SRL. Only prime Hagler would be competitive.
