That left hook could KO a huge number of HW's, so it pretty safe to say he could KO Fury. Shame Tommy was as thick as a brick, otherwise he would be alive and well today.
No doubt. Not only Morrison, but many of that era's top contenders would have wiped the floor with Fury's ****** ass.
Wouldn't be many HW's past or present that could shake off one of those left hooks from Morrison if it landed on the button.
Well that is because Mercer had an Iron Chin. Fury has a Glass Jaw. Chins matter. Fighters like Fury and David Price don't have one.
Prime Morrison can't do **** because prime Morrison is long gone. Even shot to **** Morrison is gone now. :-(
Morrison is one of the most underrated HW in history . Tommy had a good chance of taking out anyone with that BOMB in his left hand .
Morrison wasn't really much but he proved he could compete just outside the elite, though elites were always beyond him. Tyson hasn't don't this yet. Morrison stops Tyson - a sentence that would have raised eyebrows in the 90s....
he would have to catch him early or fury would maul him in the later rounds. morrison for some reason had shi.t stamina
No he was a ring mag cover boy in his day, and wildly popular in the US. He did beat Foreman that was a good win, but he was getting caught with too many good punches in many fights. Ross purity came to fame by "drawing" with Tommy. He probably under prepared for that one. He was one of those guys that could have won the title against the right opponent (WBO did not count then). Would have liked to see him in with some of the good smaller heavyweights. Moorer, Tyson, Holyfield, Tua, Jeremy Williams, Mo Harris, Kirk Johnson, etc. How would he have fared against that lot? He could have lost to all of them, but he might have beats a few too. We just didn't get to see him in with too many of the really good smaller HW's like himself aside from Mercer. Like a lot of smaller HW's he had trouble with the big tall guys. Foreman, and Ruddock were excellent wins though.
