In all fairness I think the evidence to suggest that Wlad has a "soft chin" is quite scant. The fights people usually bring up to suggest he has a weak chin are Purrity, Sanders, Brewster 1 and maybe Peter 1. In the Purrity and Brewster fights I don't see any evidence of a weak chin, bad cardio yes, but not a weak chin. In the Peter fight he is getting hit behind the head and he recovers quickly. He was waved off by the ref against Sanders but I always thought it had as much to do with terrible survival instincts and lack of defence as much as punch resistance. Sanders wasn't a featherfist either. I've seen him take very heavy, flush punches and not get staggered. http://www.tubechop.com/watch/4043913 http://www.tubechop.com/watch/4043991 http://www.tubechop.com/watch/4043996 IMO he has an average chin.
I re watched several of Pulev's fight and he is a good capable heavyweight but he will be fighting a great heavyweight. Wlad will stop him.
He's not KO'ing Wlad, and that's fo sheezy. Doesn't have that kind of power or initiative to go after Wladkenstein like that.
I've backed Pulev by KO at 4-1. If Wlad can beat Pulev the only remaining question mark is the WBC belt. I do think he was only champ because Vitali retired but the things he's achieved are incredible.
Pulev's going to put Wlad down permanently. Get your box of tissues out, there's going to be a lot of crying from the fan boys tonight.
