Yes, anything is possible with to big heavyweights. But it would mean Joshua being sloppy and Pulev landing with a flush shot and even then I don't think he'll drop him unless Joshua is out of position and off balance. I don't think Pulev has the arsenal to grind down Joshua and that's what it will take to stop Joshua, he showed against Wlad, one hard flush shot even from a huge puncher isn't enough to keep him down. But he has enough pop in his punches to rock him even if it's only for a second.
Agreed. Until Wlad, AJ was not doing anything to separate himself from Parker - but now Klitschko and THEN Pulev, definitely nothing to complain about with what AJ is doing... if he definitely beats Pulev (which I expect him to). I think part of the problem here though is people are overrating Chisora and Whyte - their banter, heart and aggression is overshadowing their actual skill imho. Watching Chisora vs Whyte after watching Parker vs Ruiz was both more fun, but also a lower level of boxing - Pulev in my opinion is more on the Ruiz vs Parker level than Chisora vs Whyte.... and I see Joshua as a level above that, which I guess doesn't bode well for any of the aforementioned guys if they face him and I am right
Pulev did OK in the klitscho fight but the way he fights with his hands down his gonna get knocked out the fight will be the same as the klitscho fight but I think this is a worse Pulev his been looking like trash unless he fights to the level of his opponents and he might be up for this fight but I think his shot or becoming shot
AJ got up from monster punches from Wlad. Pulev punches way lighter. On his best day I'd expect Pulev to nick a round or two, maybe make AJ uncomfortable for a few rounds with his jab and the occasional right. That's about it.
Pulev doesn't have the mobility to take advantage of Joshua's poor stamina or the power to get his respect. Pulev's timing is also nothing special and Pulev fights with his hands down too much for me to see Pulev going past 7 rounds. But, anything is possible I guess. Joshua is hittable and his head movement is almost nonexistent at times.
With a guitar maybe, Pulev will make it competitive though,!Joshua knocks him out in the 8th round. Do not be shocked if Pulev somehow manages to knock out Joshua, shock knock outs are common in the heavyweight division
In the HW division, any HW can go down at any given time I.e Rahman/Lewis. Wilder could drop AJ with a plush shot.
I'd love to see AJ jabbed silly to the point where he embarrassingly quits like Dimitrenko or Ustinov. Maybe he could even cry like he did after Nistor stopped him.
Patience might be the key for Joshua against Pulev, but I see AJ not really respecting his power and going for it at the same time !
Agreed. Anything before was not worth talking about. If people are balanced, they can see what the fight showed. First fight that people couldn't pull a part if they tried imo...Both should be proud of what they gave us.
