After scanning through his record 22 of his ko's come against guys with less than 5 wins and in some cases less than 5 fights. His biggest KO win was against Kendall Holt which was very controversial. Arturo Morua and Mike Aranoutis took him the distance. He seems to have koed every bum in Columbia however if think his power is Overated big time and too much is being read into his knockdowns of a weight drained Miguel Cotto.

    Here is his record http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=86492&cat=boxer

...same as Miranda - though, he looked impressie in his last fight - it just was versus a blown up jr. middleweight and he was like a lhw/cw...

I think his power is overrated but I have never been hit by him so I really don't know for sure. We should all ask Cotto as I am sure he would know. On a serious note though If he would have had more then 2 weeks notice to fight Cotto we could have very well seen a different outcome.

His power is questionable but I would guess its above average. He has quick hands and he packs a pretty big punch but he lacks dedication and fundementals. He knocked Cotto down once on paper but Cotto was actually pushed down but it counted as a Kd so it is what it is. I think Hatton could take him easy if he doesnt get caught with something flush.

It always baffles me when people mention that fight....Corley is not a huge puncher but he did catch Cotto with an excellent punch around the temple distorting his equalibrium, I've been hit like that before its a combonation of weight drain and accurate punching on the right area. Corely hand previously landing some huge right hands on Cotto's chin not had no effect so I always get confused by the logic people use.

hard enough that he had Cotto in alot of trouble(and not from a shot to the temple like corley either) this kid had Cotto hurt(in my minds eye the toughest Cotto has had to be yet)

I think torres deserves some love. he's a top contender and deserves to be.

He has a ton of power, just not the greatest delivery.

Cotto was very vulnerable at 140. This has been confirmed by how sturdy his chin is at 147 Zab and Shane barely dented him and they caught him flush. Cotto at 140 and 147 is a completely different animal.

Torres lost the fight against Mike I can't believe the judges, he was even knockdown and outboxed all night. Though he has decent power.

He's a very strong one-punch guy, he just doesn't have the technique to get better fighters down once they're hurt. He hurt Cotto, he hurt Aranoutis and he completely outclassed Morua. I agree that I thought Aranoutis won that fight, although it was frustrating. Aranoutis had so many opportunities in that fight that he never took advantage of.

He's a very hard puncher, but doesn't have great technique or delivery.
