I'd rather see a fighter retire in his prime than hang around looking terrible in meaningless fights.
But if every fighter did that there would have been no Foreman victory for Ali, no Hagler win for Leonard . No surprising Duran-Barkleys or unlikely Hopkins-Pavliks.
They always DO hang around too long however.

They both got their shot at one last payday, Hopkins got his redemption. Now, they need to ease into retirement and let our minds drift back to how truly special the once were... They gave in this fight the best 40 something bodys can give. Now, bow out with some dignity intact...

Fancy term for 'video ho'. If you're job description involves lathering yourself in tanning oil and make-up and dancing half naked for the entertainment for others, I wouldn't validate it as a profession.

Just like the rappers themselves, they have no respect for their community, race or gender, and have chosen money over dignity and community improvement. The whole industry is fukd up :-(

Thanks Bill O'Reilly. Now I'm gonna go back to staring at her ass and talking boxing.

I won't ever order a Jones or Hopkins card again, and normally I wouldn't have if it was just one of them fighting. But considering it was them fighting each other, I ordered it just for the chance it could be a good fight. I was pretty disappointed but not surprised in the least. The most exciting parts of the fight were the dirty tactics and Hopkins acting like a *****, which is pretty sad to say.
I don't think either man will retire though and both should be banned from boxing. But in reality they can both be competitive with top fighters, it's just sad to see how much they've diminished though -- really sad.
