I dont know, id favour Taylor but i like Martin, i presume hes guna have a bit of a reach advantage and can put down a good jab, hes looked good but not great so far but hes one of those where he is still to blossom. Taylor has looked very good at times and at a slightly higher level, in my opinion ofcourse, but that alone doesnt mean everything.

martin upsetting him might cause chaos on these boards. considering most of us thought taylor the next dominate champ at 140 lol

For the record, I'm picking Taylor. And I think Taylor will be in the final against Rougarou.

Just saying, Martin might be better than most of us gave him credit for.

I honestly don't think it's remotely close. Taylor is better in every, or almost every area & Martins just lingers on the inside. Taylor's counter punching & body work will crucify Martin as this fight goes on. I'll be surprised if Martin lasts 12 rounds to be honest.

Taylor still has a rawness to him but that is vulnerable against the very, very best. Martin was vulnerable in 3-4 fights I seen against very average opposition, I thought he lost a close fight against Rojo? And hard fight with Vilanava (spelling) as well. He didn't impress against a shot Prescott either.

Postol who lost to Taylor schools Martin, no doubt in my mind about that.

Regardless of what anyone says, Martin is the goods. He tall, long, fast, accurate, very good counterpuncher and hits far harder than his record suggests. Whoever wins between him and Taylor, its gonna be a tooth and nail dog fight down to the wire and possibly Martins coming out party. Stylistically I tthink he is very wrong for Taylor. We will see but im going with Martin pulling off the shocking upset and maybe running the tables and taking this whole thing. Most underrated fighter in the tournament and possibly boxing. And I'm a huge Taylor fan.

Mmmm. I don't think he's the goods, he's basic as basic can be to be honest. He sets up the same way, & catch and counter is only style of counter punching. He struggles to stop smaller fighters so power is null at the top level for me.

His hand speed is good & he's a nice straight puncher, that's it. Solid body puncher but limited on the inside.

I don't see it. BUT educate me, I love to learn. He's athletic & quick but a lot of folks mistake that for a skill set. What makes him the goods? And a stylistic nightmare for Taylor?
