We need to see more of him, but I doubt he beats Golovkin and he may have a chance vs Canelo. I think he is an elite fighter though and has at least a 40% chance vs any MW currently other than Golovkin.

Depends on timing. GGG will be 36 by the time he fights next. On this board at the moment we have threads about him v Canelo 2, Saunders, Charlo, Murata. Then there's Jacobs 2 if that happens. Most of those guys are much younger than GGG and if he goes on long enough, someone's going to bump him off.

Think he will beat Canelo but will end up having another robbery loss on his record he doesn't beat golovkin but it would be a great fight

I could see him knocking out Canelo and could also see him getting robbed or even losing a close boxing match legitimately. It sort of depends on the night and his temperament (like with HNN) and of course the judges.

He and Canelo both foil each others' styles pretty well I think they would make a great chess match that would be razor close every time. As for Golovkin I wouldn't pick him now too much activity and pop but give Murata another year on the uptick and Golovkin another year on the slip and that could be all it takes. Count me as a believer of Murata.

I think Charlo might be the man in the right place at the right time. Think Cotto vs Martinez if Cotto was an actual middleweight and somewhat deserving of being lineal champ with an intention to defend the title properly.

I've been guilty of selling Murata short before based on him fighting down to his level of comp, and may still be. My first instinct is "no".

I'd like to see one more good win out of him before I rate him vs the best of the bunch. I think he needs to be matched tough to bring the best out of him.

what's Murata's style of fighting? can anyone tell me? what's his strengths and weaknesses?

And where does his style of fighting suit better vs other middleweights?

Really? Murata's punches don't seem to be (or even sound) heavy artillery... Stopping N'Dam was impressive, but N'Dam has also taken a lot of beatings.
