Can Ryota Murata Beat Golovkin Or Canelo?

That'd be a great fight. I'd favor Jacobs right now. With Jacobs signing with Matchroom and HBO, that could be a makeable fight. They're investing in the middleweights again, and Murata would be a logical name to try and bring over.

Speaking of HBO middleweights, Andrade sounds like he's interested, too. He's called out Murata, given up his 154 strap, and says he wants the WBA route at 160. That's a very worthwhile fight to get some clarity among the contenders. I'd favor Murata there.

 

Did you watch the rematch? Those were powerful middleweight shots.

 

Canelo and GGG are both a level above Murata as of right now.

If I was trying to tier this thing out, it'd probably look something like this (the names within the tiers aren't in any particular order)....

tier 1: Golovkin
tier 2: Canelo, Jacobs
tier 3: Lemieux, Derevyanchenko, Murata, BJS, Charlo
tier 4: Andrade

I feel pretty confident with that as my top 9 H2H fighters at 160. 10 probably would've been Krazy Khurtsidze's spot if the Feds hadn't gotten to him. Could probably throw Centeno in there to fill it out just fine, but I wouldn't favor him over any of the other 9 guys.
