Can Sam Langford be considerd the greatest heavyweight of all time?

    I can see why he is well liked, just not why people think his resume is amazing and on comparison with the elite of the elite.

    No, but he certainly doesnt need to be either.

    Langford is The Man and constantly in the conversation as the greatest fighter of all-time.

    He's absolutely a top shelf p4p great.

    But he isn't in the discussion for greatest ever heavyweight. He's either outside the top 10, or, if you have a very favorable view of his accomplishments, just inside it.

    He doesn't need to be one of the very greatest heavy's to have had one of the most impressive boxing careers ever, though. Langford is a p4p stud.
