So you feel Wlad wasn´t fighting hurt after the knockdowns in the Peter fight, while he was handily outboxing the Nigerian Neanderthal?

Ask any television exec which Heavyweight bout they would want and they would say Haye vs Wlad.

No one gives a **** about Thompson, Peter or anyother eastern bloc third rate fighter.

Once the mandatories are out of the way, Its The fight.

I havent heard of a vaguely interlectual argument against the fight.

How about this one - unification of heavyweight titles?? Dont be so sure that Haye will even be the top contender at that point, it is entirely feasible he will get knocked out before then.

That would normally have credence but this aint 1992, and Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and Ruddock aint the belt holders. Realistically a fight between the pair is the fight that pits the two most talented and financially viable fighters against each other.

    WHAT FIGHT DID YOU WATCH???

Are u kidding? Peter wasn't so much as fazed by anything Maskaev landed. Maskaev caught Peter with a left hook that knocked him off balance but cheerleader Lampley made it seem as though Peter was hurt. I don't remember which round it was but Maskaev landed a couple right hands as the round ended that would have decapitated alot of fighters but Peter didn't blink. If anything, the Maskaev fight answered questions about Peter's chin. Questions, by the way, that I never asked. Anyone can be caught. McCline caught him with an uppercut, a particularly dangerous punch when thrown by a 270 lb. man.

Very few in the USA even know who David Haye is. He can yap all he wants but until he proves he's worthy by beating at least 2 top 10 rated HW's it will be nothing more than your own personal preference.

Actions speak far louder than words................:deal

Hurt to an extent, most of the punches Peter hit Wlad with that night were glancing blows, Wlads chin being as weak as it is, made it look like more than what they were. I do however give Wlad credit for getting through that nighmare of a fight, but he did it clinching, falling all over the place, and panicking in the process, he hardly looked good that night.

If Wlad looked bad, how does that make Peter look?

Just as bad, but you must remember he only just turned 25 at that time, very green by anyones standards. Wlad looked a scared little boy falling and panicking and what not, while Peter looked crude as can be, with absolutely no boxing skills. They both looked bad that night, but it was a pretty enertaining match none the less.

All you have to remember that Wlad's confidence was pretty low those days, as most experts had written him off following the Brewster loss. It was the only fight in Klitschko's career when he was the underdog. Bad or not it was a big win for him and a much much bigger confidence booster. He's been a different fighter since then. As Foreman said in that broadcast, "he's been cured."

    I miss Foreman's commentary.

Sam Peter has a chance of scoring an upset in a Klitschko rematch, but I don't think he could ever be a dominant heavyweight champion

Respect Peter but he aint compelete either:nono The fight against W. Klitschko showed he's tough as nails but cant be out thought and out foxed/boxed.

Have I seen improvement? Not yet!! Yet he still is a PACKAGE that can be out front in this division.

    W. Klitschko and Samuel Peter are still the two top HW's from what I see.:yep
