I agree. I think fighters in particular that are not getting promoted enough and are falling asleep on are like Sergio Martinez, an Argentian based in Spain, a country who's has a historical year in sports and their have already been some hilarious threads on the guy's looks. He's not a spring chicken, but his popularity with boxing fans and women should of already been ten fold. Tim Bradley is another that should be giving Floyd a run for his money and help revive American boxing. He is ultra talented and the opposite of Floyd's "bad boy" image. Aside from that, he always put's fan friendly fights. If Bute is a Romanian superstar in Canada, I don't see why Martinez and Bradley can't be in theirs. These guys keep winning, but their promoters really do need to be more creative in hyping these guys up at least alittle.

    In a word...No.

It's like when people ask the question, 'Will Ward be the next global superstar after Mayweather and Pacquiao?'...same answer, no. He doesn't have the personality.

WTF? Pac and FLoyd's popularity have nothing to do with their personality, it's all based on their talent.

Based on interviews Canelo comes off as more intelligent and charismatic than both of them. Talent-wise not even close yet!

Personality was in regards to Ward if you read it again. Floyd and Manny's popularity is a combination of their talent and personality...that is the reason they are global superstars, and are the top two faces in boxing to the hardcore and casual fan. Mayweather adopting the persona he did is what made him a PPV/global star, against DLH...and why he continues to be the main PPV star.

Alvarez hasn't shown me anything that would make me think he can 'become the new DLH'...in fact I havn't seen anything from him that makes me think he can even come close to what DLH achieved in and out of the ring. He hasn't even stepped up yet...

He is still fresh out the womb & breathe still smells like breast milk, relax bro... ;)

    The potential is there.
Trust me Oscar knows how to market.
(They will target their following then expand all Saul has to do is keep winning.)

NO! Not worth going into detail of WHY NOT.

The highlighted is exactly my point. He's developing well, but hasn't shown he can reach the level of a DLH yet...in my opinion, he has been matched well (as in to see him progress, and not to challenge him). Let him learn and see how it goes, no point making a comparison yet. :good

"breathe still smells like breast milk"...
