My thoughts as well. Don't think Briggs can take Hayes power shots at this stage of his career. Would be very surprised if we hear the bell after the first round.

Good call. I see almost the same but with haye stoppage from round 3-5 after Briggs gassed going for him first 2 rounds swinging.

This is another opportunity for me to make some money with the bookies going for haye 1-5 rounds or 3-6rounds. The odds for Hayes last 2 fights were very good @4/5 within 3 rounds, I hope it will be similar here.

Are you joking? Briggs can't hit him at all. Haye can choose when to end this fight.

Briggs gets destroyed and in the post fight interview he acknowledges that both he and Wlad have lost in the last year. Therefore he thinks we should have Briggs vs Wlad and the winner gets Fury. LETS GO CHAMP!!!!!!!!

Anything can hapoen in boxing with boxers within a few levels talent and skill wise.

Haye was a great fighter prior to cycling up to 230+, he's a bonufied hw with unreal skill and power to take almost anyone out within 2 rounds.

Hayes not dunb, he knows after a couple rounds of briggs landing nitging but air he'll be c a sitting duck. Haye may possibly feel for him and extend tfr fight by just outclassing briggs, i doubt it.

Vicious ko round 4 while yelling get uo chumo, grt up

Prime Haye vs Prime Briggs would be a good fight and I would lean toward Briggs if he can KO Haye quickly, if not he will tire and get KO'd himself. Now? Haye will kill him.

Briggs is durable but I think the Vitali fight made him look more durable than he really is. Vitali had no power at that point it seemed.

Briggs has no chance. Too old and way too slow. Briggs looked good stopping a welterweight amateur, but against Haye he's without chance in a massive mismatch.

I think Haye will fight 'scared' on the back foot for the first 2-4 rounds. Not throwing much unless Briggs is wide open. Briggs will chase him around swinging then tire and Haye will then step up into 2nd or 3rd gear and let more shots go though still being cautious of Briggs power...but he'll at some point by round 5 catch him and Briggs will give a wobble do a lil chicken dance then Haye will start swinging till the ref waves it off. TKO by 5. If by some chance Briggs shows himself to still have a good chin and doesn't tire as quickly as expected he might be able to drag the fight long, we'll see...

If somehow (not likely) he does clip Haye with a good right hand Haye will go to sleep - he's a heavyweight with great power but his cheen isn't rock. He might just be the heavyweight Amir Khan.

Old man can punch, but DH is too fast for him.

I doubt Haye can knock out Briggs who would die in the ring first. The reason why somebody like Briggs is avoided is because he's hard to knock out, especially with his old man determination. Dancing around for a decision isn't going to get Haye that much credit. If he blows Briggs out the water, like Klitschko did Ray Mercer, then I'd give him credit.

Weirder things have happened....although I can't remember when. Haye is not back to his old self. However, he should easily tko the old asthmatic Briggs. Something Wilder would not be willing to attempt. Early on is where Briggs could have an upset chance.

Realisticly Haye's to quick to get hit flush by a shot. However if SHannon lands then I don't think Haye takes it very well.

    40 year old Carl Thompson...

KTFO GayeMaker in his prime!! :dead

Briggs has to survive Gaye's early bombs
and make Gaye work, wear him down...

then Grandpa can put him to sleep...

    unless...

Gaye is stupid enough to trade shots early!

then this could be s short fight...

I have all of Briggs big loses on one DVD...

    Daryl Wilson KTFO 3 Briggs
    Lewis KTFO 4 Briggs
    Iggy Ibragamov UD12 Briggs
    Vitali UD12 Briggs

the more recent Iggy fight (2007) and the
Vitali Massacre (2011), Briggs seemed to
be puffy like on the kind of Horse Roids
that WWE wrestlers use... overly bulked
and slow... easy target (punching bag)...

he seems more in shape now and quicker
even though he's been fighting bums...
maybe he found a better training method
and changed up the Juiced MilkShakes!!!

Liakhovich in 2006 had Briggs whooped
but made a mistake in the 12th and got
KTFO of the ring... I hope GayeMaker trys
to impress the fans and trades shots with
Grandpa Briggs but he's more likely to
get on his GayeMaker Bicycle like he does
most of the time like against Waldo...

I'd like to see Gaye KTFO by Grandpa!! :dead
