Hey, that's all the same right?!
If the Klit brothers and Golovkin are Russian, then John Ruiz is Mexican... If you don't believe me, then ask B-Hop :bart

No, Liakovich is a shot fighter and Ruiz has some skill. I'd expect Ruiz to get Liakovich out of there within 4-5 rounds.

Its not going to happen but I'm pulling for a Liakovich upset. I just can't root for a boxer coming to fight in the shape Ruiz does.

Boxing obviously isn't bodybuilding but Ruiz's shape is awful and would actually be embarrassing for the heavyweight division to see him become a real contender someday.

No less an embarrassment than Arreola, unlike whom Ruiz actually has bothered to learn the craft and develop a bit of skill.

Ruiz is much worse, from an overweight standpoint, than Arreola. Ruiz makes Arreola look like Ken Norton or Mike Weaver in there.

Despite his obeseness he is a pretty skilled heavyweight though. Actually an Arreola-Ruiz fight would be pretty interesting at this point.

Liakhovich has fought eight times in the last eight years and he's 3-5. Out of those five defeats, he's been stopped four times, three of them brutally. And of the three wins he's racked up in those eight years two came against complete tomato cans with records of 23-17-1 and 5-11-0. The only semi-decent opponent he's beaten since 2006 is Evans Quiin (20-6-1 now) and he took a beating in that one too before he managed to pull it out of the fire in the 9th round. Quiin has never beaten anyone world class but even he was able to bust Liakhovoch's face up good in that fight. If Liakhovich somehow manages to get past Ruiz it would be the shock of the century for me. He's beyond shot and he really should not be allowed to fight anymore.

The only way Liakhovich can shock the world is by seeing the final bell. He's a corpse.

WTF ever happened to Liakhovich anyway? Showed smarts and skill in his fight with Brewster....its still one of my fav heavyweight fights of the last 10 yrs. He has faded so much. Was it a training discipline thing or did the Brewster war take to much out of him?

I think both, he seemed to be at his peak in that fight, but after it he just wasn't the same, and refused to listen to his trainer's instructions

That's a shame , as I said before that was a great fight with Brewster. As for the not listening......as in corner instructions or training camp?
