Can Sky really get away with DeGale vs Groves on its own as a PPV?

It's not PPV worthy, but I'm not sure if it ever was.

Still buy it though, £15 isn't going to bankrupt me. It's like voting... in principal I agree with it, but my boycott/vote is completely irrelevant.

I'm not a SKY subscriber but what would **** me off isn't the £15 which is peanuts, its not getting the fights included in the £50 (or whatever it is) a month it costs to have a decent SKY package.

I don't get Sky Sports but do get some of the PPV's. It actually works out not bad value because I only pay for what I watch.

What bothers me IS the £15 for a bill such as this (even before the Cleverly fight fiasco).

Surely if you don't get Sky Sports then its a completely moot point for you? You arn't paying a monthly subscription to watch boxing, missing out on the card being on SS1 and you have the choice as to whether you feel the card is worth the 15 quid to buy it?

I do get to choose but then subscribers to Sky Sports choose to pay the subscription fees, knowing full well that PPV has been leeching its way to domestic level fights for some time. I gave up Sky Sports ages ago for this very reason.

I'm not ripped off in the was subscribers are, but £15 as a one off fee for just one not so great bill is still a bit steep. If it was a fiver, I'd happily pay it.

If it was a fiver they'd make **** all money on it. All making cheap PPV's does from the POV of the broadcaster is that the people that would have bought it anyway now get it for a tenner less, and the people that aren't interested...still don't buy it. Cheap PPV's don't work and never will do.

That said, I'd be mighty annoyed if I paid for Sky and then had to shell out on top of what seem already extortionate fees just to watch the boxing.

This is bull****. It is not PPV. It should have been moved to Sky Sports 1. That headline of Cleverly v Euro joker is a mismatch.

They can get away with it and they will. As they have a million times before. I remember saying Once: "boxing fans eventually learn they are being treated like mugs" (or something like that) and then old man GazOC said "yes but then they forget again". I won't be buying it.

Lol at anyone paying £15 for a british title fight and Cleverly fighting some bum. Moan all you like about this not being PPV worthy but the people buying this are just as much to blame as Warren and Sky.

Yup. Protest with you cash if you're not happy. If you're píssed off and still buy it then what does it matter? It shows you are a weak willed individual who'll dance to the tune of Frank Warren.
