Can Sky really get away with DeGale vs Groves on its own as a PPV?

When did he mention the first mag 7?

The last 3 attempted sky box office pay per views have been:

    *DeGale/Groves, Cleverly/Euro Bum
    *Khan/McCloskey
    *Haye/Harrison

Haye v Harrison was a joke fight but there is no broadcaster on the planet who wouldnt of put on PPV with the guaranteed income. Everyone knew it was a non contest but it was easy money and easy to sell to the casual.

The Khan v McCloskey fight should never of been PPV regardless of the undercard.

Degale v Groves isnt really PPV but wasnt that the only way the fight could be made?

Khan-Maidana/Franks Card (DeGale v Smith, Clev v Nadjib Mohammedi, Bellew v McKenzie, Macklin v Varon, Brook v Kotey) was after Haye v Harrison.

But he said 3 out of the last 4 as he said the Khan/Maidana one was ok?

Anyway, it's a **** pay per view clearly. It isn't the only way the fight could happen, that's rubbish.

George Groves was mandatory for the British title. James DeGale didn't want to vacate/duck the fight so it had to happen. They could have both made as much on a regular sky Saturday fight night because sky would have hyped it and upped the money they'd normally put into a SNF.

This of course would be if they didn't already have rubbish contracts put in place.

Anybody reckon they will be good 'dreams' available?? I dont wana pay £15 for this **** but no way am i gonna miss the degale v groves fight. Never done these 'dreams' before. Just wondered if people think the 'dreams' will be worthwhile on Saturday night??

How much did Sky put up? £400,000.

Would they really put that up for a SNF.

I dont think Sky can be too pleased to be honest. There last 2 major events now have gone pete tong somehow.

The best thing to happen now is De Gale v Groves is actually competitive and lasts a decent amount of time.

It's certainly the worst PPV in the history of the sport, barring novelty fights featuring aged legends.
