Well, he is back after a three year stint in prison for drug charges. he was the 2000 usa olympic jr. welter silver medalist and considered the most talented guy on the team. but as a pro, he just didnt get his **** together. what i hate about this guy that he simply doesnt seem to care. but he has those "old school" type of skills, you cant take that away from him. a bit like a welter version of james toney. how far you think he can go now that he is back??? (3-0 in his comeback so far).
i remember watching him acouple yrs ago, he's got skills, but i question his heart. there is too much talent at 140 or 147 right now. he has the pedigree, but unless he's learned from his setbacks inside and outside the ring and take himself seriously, he will not get far. right now i'd probably have him on alfonso gomez or feliciano's level just barely as a contender and i'd probably still pick those 2 to beat williams
