Ring's Lightweight rankings have JM Marquez as 'C', Nate Campbell as no1 and Pacquiao as No2.
Yet their P4P rankings have Pacquaino ranked 1, JM Marquez ranked 2 and Nate Campbell not even in the top 10 ?

Does that mean that 'ring' think that Pacquiao is a worse Lightweight than Nate Campbell ??? but somehow they think that Pacquiao is a better P4P boxer than Campbell ?

    the champ was Casamayor

JMM beat the champ meaning he's the new champ

Pac only beat Diaz who wasn't ranked higher then Nate Campbell who beat Juan Diaz which was the No1. LW in the world

    and there it goes....

Excellent explanation 'Monstar', i understand that, but what i want to know is = does 'Ring' think that Pacman is a worse Lightweight than Nate Campbell, yet somehow a better p4p fighter ? because that is what their rankings state, yet it does not make sense.

    PAC's P4P status are from 106, 126, 130 and 135 and soon 147

    Campbell's P4P status is 130 & 135

Campbell beat a higher calibre/ranked lightweight than Pac did.

You have to take into account that Pac has moved through the weights, while Campbell has been at LW for a long time.

Pac came to the pinnacle of the P-4-P rankings based on his big victories over the Mexican trio at the weight divisions below LW. Campbell broke into the top of the LW rankings before Pac moved up, through his beating of Juan Diaz (who was considered to be the up-and-coming No.1 man in the division).

When Pac moved up to LW he fought David Diaz, who was widely considered to be the weakest beltholder, therefore Pac's victory over him does not automatically move him above Campbell due to the calibre of the said victim Diaz (ie: Campbell's Diaz was a lot better Diaz).

Pac is still No.1 P-4-P based on accomplishments at lower weight divisions, as well as his newly acquired belt at LW. JMM goes higher in the LW rankings because he beat Casamayor, who was the champ at the weight, therefore he is now the champ, but is still behind Pac in the P-4-P rankings (basically because, on paper, Pac holds a win over him in a recent fight - but in a lower weight division).

Conclusion: Campbell is more proven at LW, but Pac is the more proven fighter overall.
