Can Somebody Please Explain To Me How Floyd Expects to Make 50 Mil From Fighting Pac

    I have been thinking about the whole PPV thing and the money made from the gate etc.

    I am far from an expert but if anybody could break it all down it would be good to know how Floyd expects to make 50 Million or from what I have heard he expects to pull in that type of figure for a fight with Pacquiao.

    I mean if he is making that much then what is the other fighter left with because I may be wrong but for Floyd to make that aren't we talking about some serious PPV numbers here?

    Somebody must be able to shed some light on this subject.

    they will both make 50 mil if it breaks the record which most think it will.

    If it's split 50/50 neither will get quite that much, maybe 40 mil each. If it's $54.95 and they do 2.5 million buys that's 138 million $. Half that goes to the cable/satellite/distributors. But the rest, plus gate, and site fee will go to the promoters and fighters and that's a shitload of money.

    Don't forget international sales. It will do well in the UK also, for example.

    Probably expect to gross around 20mil for live gate alone. If it does 3mil buys which I think it will at $54.95, thats 165mil right there + 20mil = $185mil. Id imagine around $20mil will probably go into promotion, possibly more...That leaves 65mil to split between promoters and TV networks.

    50mil for each fighter seems to be a bit of stretch. However Pac reportedly made 22mil from his 1.2mil buys, if the fight did 3times more in ppv he would have undoubtedly reach 50mil, that said the split wasnt 50/50 and he was getting the bulk of it.

    Oh yea, and as the person above mentioned, international sales. Im not sure the rest of the world but in UK alone id expect it to get atleast 300k, possibly 500k+ depending on how they promote it here. 500k on £15 is another 15mil $ again...in UK alone.

    Also, Floyd gets the promotional cut for his side as well whereas Arum's going to get the other portion of the promoter's cut. Between getting the promoter and fighter's cut, it's not completely out of the question Floyd'll get 50 mil.

    Say there are 2,000,000 PPV buys, and there will most likely be more then that. At $59.95 a buy.
    $119,000,000 just from PPVs and that is a low number.

    If the fight does more than the Oscar-PBF fight then the purse would be atleast 75mil. They will both make out like bandits.

    The fight should go 50-50, both guy's are huge draws, i doubt in this shitty, economy they will pull in 50 million , that's insane..:nut
