This is a solid point. My first guess was a tree of some kind but even the branches on a tree move when the wind blows.

On a serious note? I'm not quite sure.

Clottey hasnt fought anyone with Manny's speed, explosiveness, or whirlwind attack style.

Clottey isnt one dimensional, but he isnt very adapative. He might find soemthing that works, he might not. His toughness stems from his

    Difficult style+size/strength/durability.

Having seen his recent fights, he doesnt really posses anything that is particular troubling to Manny other than obvious of size and style

He does possess a good counter right hand. Pac wont want to come straight in, but Roach knows that

I just dont see it. Barring him landing some hellacious punch and following it up, he doesnt have what it takes. Enough to make it a hard fight, but Pac has the perfect style to defeat him.

i am picking clottey for the upset victory not to hate on pac but i really respect clotteys skill and i think his size will help him and hes tough so he wont crumble like cotto did. of course pac has an excellent chance to win a convincing decision too with his high output and superior ability

Who are these people who keep saying Clottey has slow hands? It was quite obvious he has better handspeed than Cotto at various points in their fight.

His hand speed isn't that great and he doesn't throw them enough anyways.

I can understand if it's full of major errors that change the meaning of his post but....does it matter? I mean you admitted you got what he was saying.

    Good for Clottey:

    1. He's a big dude. Really big. As in he usually come into the ring as a Super Middle or Light Heavy.
    2. He's got a very, very solid chin. He's been down a time or two times, but mostly because of balance issues. (I have that listed as a weakness for him.) I don't think I've ever seen him hurt, although I've only seen maybe 3 of his fights.
    3. He's got an effective jab. Not spectacular, but good with a long reach and a bit of snap.
    4. He's got a very good defense and a high guard. I never gave Cotto much of a chance against Pacquiao because of the weaknesses in Cotto's defense, Clottey is not likely to have that problem.
    5. He's got decent hand speed. Not great, but better than average and at least in the early rounds he can throw good combinations.

    Weaknesses:

    1. He gets very passive and goes into a turtle shell when another fighter is working. This gives his opponents a chance to rack up the points, even if they're just beating on Clottey's arms. It looks better than just standing there behind the high guard.
    2. He fades late in fights. Dude is nothing but muscle and strong as a bull, but he either has stamina issues or takes off too much weight to make 147, because he tends to dramatically drop his output by/after the mid rounds and become solely defensive.
    3. His footwork is not good. He is not fast moving on his feet at all, and he can be caught off balance like Cotto caught him in round 1, where Cotto caught him with a jab while Clottey was in the middle of taking a step and down went Clottey.
    4. Weird things always happen in Clottey fights. Whether it's the wrestling match and throw down with Cotto, the DQ against Baldomir in a fight he was winning, the injury that wasn't as serious as he told his corner it was against Margarito, there's always something strange going on, especially if it involves injuries (Cotto, Margarito) or potential injuries.
    5. Clottey's power is decent but did not carry up to the world class level.

My predicition is that Manny puts him on the defensive with his superior speed and outworks Clottey to a UD.
