Can somebody please show me something Roy Jones has done, of note, in the last half a decade?

    Not much.

A close win over Tarver, wins over fringe contenders and journeymen, and a smaller great who hadn't fought in almost 3 years.

Then of course, there's the 3 losses.

He fought for the LHW title 3 times, beat Tito and is signed to fight Calslappy, I know you're a hater so just cut the BS.

How anyone on this planet could watch Roy's last SIX fights and believe (a) he isn't SHOT to pieces, (b) he has a snowball's chance in Hell of beating the pound-for-pound number 3 in the world fighter, or (c) that he is even capable of competing at world level anymore...

...well, it just boggles the mind.

Just about the only thing in five years, and by the time he fights Joe it will pretty much be near on five years since that contentious win. He then went on to lose two rematches.

The decision was fair. Milkdud spent too many round staring at Jones, leary of his bodywork, too patient.

That was one of the most overblown "controversial" decisions ever.

Jones is badly faded, and Calzaghe should handily beat him.

wow finally some logic....he is such a great talent who would NEVER take a risk nless he had too IE toney and hopkins...once he was on top he fought and embarassed b rate fighters while never having a signature moment...then when he finally found some motivation t fight a HW it just so happenened to be possibly the worst hw champion ever...so no I cant give u anything he has dne besides have tremendous talent and he will lose to calzaghe because joe is a winner and RJJ is just happy to be there

Are you kidding?? Do u even know of Jon Oli?? He's not a hater at all, he is simply questioning the legitimacy of this fight - and with good reason. Have you actually seen Roy's last 6 fights?? I am a huge RJJ fan, everyone knows that as I start threads about him quite a lot and rate him very very highly, but that has nothing to do with the fact I know a shot fighter when I see one. I loved Julio Cesar Chavez too, but I didn't want him to fight Kostya Tszyu either, because I knew what was coming. It's called realism, not hate.

it is funny how jones was in tough vs tarver in the fist fight and then he just fell apart ,,,one tough fight and he wilted under the pressure after that...it is because for YEARS he was puttin himself above the sport and fighting b rate guys and playing hoops in the same day...come on roy...u played ball then beat lucas...THEN he wants hoopkins to take less money...all about business to roy always has been...he had more talent than anyone maybe ever and all he did was want to show it off against the mandatories

You never stop going on about how weak Jones's resume is, and yet you are a Floyd Mayweather fan.

I am not a RJJ fan obviously...he is SUPER talented but he chose calzghe cuz he knows joe wont make him ******ed with one shot..and that is not a joke.....I like Joe C not as much as some in here but he is a nice fighter but I am a bit cynical over why he would fight RJJ...he is clearly not the ond RJJ in talent and joe should win easy...what does that do for his legacy? not much in my eyes...i just hope calzaghe comes back and fights a younger prime guy like JT or preferably dawson

Wow. And what has you're idol Gayrunner done since he moved to 140 and above. Un-****ing-believable. At least Tarver was the #1 guy at 175 who Roy fought and beat after killing himself to make the weight. Roy should've taken more chances, but you really have no right to talk about a fighter taking the road of least resistance with a picture of Gayweather in your avatar. Floyd's ***** ass retired instead of fighting any of the top fighters at 147 so please just stop.

Floyd fought ODH and Hatton for big money,,,who did jones fight since bhop...he never had a signature fight...and floyd fought castillo twice at lw corrales at 130...believe me I am a huge PBF fan but I wish he would fight AM or cotto as much as anyone...but beating hatton the way he did and ODH at 154 were both signature fights...what was roys sig fight...his skill is TOP NOTCH but his resume stinks

His most notable win, James Toney.
