Can somebody please show me something Roy Jones has done in the last half a decade?

delahoya judah hatton...all wins......who did RJJ beat that is on their current level....he beat the #1 140 lb and 154 lb fighters...again I wish he would fight AM because it would be an easy win....this fight is noo good for calzaghes legacy

So when challenged on Floyd's resume, you bring up a well past-prime Oscar and Hatton, who couldn't handle 147lbs against Collazo???

Those weren't even either of his best 2 wins, which were Corrales and Castillo II.

I used to detest Floyd, but now I love watching his fights, I rate him highly, but his resume is not great. It is comparable with RJJ's.

RJJ Top 5 Wins: Toney, Hopkins (both far far better than anything on Floyd's resume), Ruiz (with a 20-30lbs weight disadvantage this means a lot IMO), Tarver I, and either Griffin II or McCallum or Virgil Hill or Malinga.

Floyd's Top 5 Wins: Corrales, Castillo II, Hatton, De La Hoya, Judah.

Are you seriously telling me you think Jones's resume 'stinks' but Floyd's is strong by comparison? :-(

You must be a f'n newb....Floyd beat the #1 fighters at 140? He beat Gatti to get his belt junior welter...I rest my case. Dude you really are one of the biggest Floyd nuthuggers I have ever seen...and I 've seen some bad ones.

    This thread?

By all means do - I would be absolutely ecstatic if Roy managed to pull a win off at this stage of his career.

This pretty much sums it up.

Yet, "he is better than ever before and very dangerous for Calzaghe" according to some people. :blood

Yeah, I'm still scratching my head wondering why so many people seem to think Roy is going to pull a rabbit out of the hat on this one???

Based on what? Because Hopkins did it?

I stupidly picked Pavlik, but I could see why some were going with Hopkins... Wins over Tarver and Wright and keeping it close with Joe...
Kelly still being too green etc...

But I don't see good reasons for picking Jones here

Jones has done nothing but have his Glass Jaw shattered and make excuses and delusional claims.

I would agree with you...However, there is always hope. Did anyone think Bernard Hopkins would dominate Pavlik all 12 rounds? Nope. I doubt hopkins thought that would happen.

Who knows...Maybe stylistically, RJJ can take advantage of calzaghe? When rjj wants to, he can still bang...And he's still quick when he wants to be. He just isn't nearly as active as he should be.
