I shouldn't even be answering you, since you seem to be about 15 years old, but then again I think of myself as an educator... I'm not disputing that it was a valiant effort by AA, but if you realistically look at the fight, he would've lost that one, if they hadn't taken away 50 points from Miranda for low blows that Miguel Cotto would not even be warned for. I'm not saying AA isn't tough, but he is relatively unproven. Except for that Miranda fight - where he RAN to repeat myself - he has never been in a war. And even that is not a bad thing. Abraham has the best guard around. It's just this whole "no human hand can hurt him"-bullsh*t that I don't like. I'm not a Pavlik fan. He only got my real attention when he was connected to an Abraham fight. I've seen 3 of his fights, the two versus Taylor in which he did good and the one versus Hopkins in which he looked like a schoolboy. And since he ducked Paul Williams I have once again lost any interest in him.
Then point me to the part of video where that situation transpires. I speak German and English, so I will understand it if I hear it. Well, if you don't see him run away, then we really have a fundamentally different understanding of boxing. At which time in the 10th round do you see him nearly go down?
Look at the discussion when the doctor is looking at his jaw and when they talk about him. After he said no, one of he guys goes away, says something to Abraham and the fight goes on. If Abraham wouldn't have wanted to coninue he wouldn't have continued. I can't watch the vid so this is out of memory and it's a time since I saw that fight. Running is what DLH did in the last four rounds against Trinidad but not wha AA did against Miranda. When he stumbled back into the ropes. Without them he would have went down. AA just hadn't enough left to finish him, thanks to the blood loss.
Nice to see an intelligent, well thought debate, followed my post concerning the two tests remaining for AA. Cheers lads.
Randy Neumann asks him: "Do you want to fight?" to which AA replies "No." Then somebody off camera, I suppose it's Kalle Sauerland, tells him (translated) "If you don't fight, you lose." Then Randy Neumann asks him if he has his mouthpiece, which is really odd, since AA had just told him he doesn't want to fight. Abraham then makes a gesture like 'well, what choice do I have' and when Neumann asks him if he's ready, he says yeah. Well, since you can't see the video you can't tell me the time at which this is supposed to happen but I just watched it and at no point is Miranda hurt.
I guess what I meant is that the turtle shell will keep Dirrell from landing anything significant, which is what Winky did to Tito. Tito couldn't land ****.
your analysis of the fight is way off, tito trinidad aint much of a boxer, he takes alot of punches with his face(which explains all those KD's), he is stationary, he doesn't give you angles, he's not fleet footed, and he's not as fast as dirrell also winky is a great counter puncher, arthur 'rarely' counter punches really bad example
What you are talking about is round 9, there he is almost out on his legs on the ropes. In the last 2-3 rounds, Abraham just survived, but no wonder as he sometimes didn't even know where his opponent is in the ring, from the blood loss. He lost almost a critical amount of blood for ****s sake, he got blood transfusions afterwards. However, someone else would not even have warned for that ? Seriously ? That were the mother****ing mothers of intentional lowblows, and he had like 20 of them over the fight of which just THREE got penalized. Adamek immediately lost a point for a single HIPSHOT against Briggs, in Illinois. If he wasn't the homefighter and fighting in the US he would have been long disqualified. And he had other highly illegal actions like pulling down Abrahams guard with the left, literally trying to grab it from his head, to punch in the opening with the right, even a hammerfist to the top of the head. He wasn't even warned for that ****.
:good Yeah, when Abraham knows that he would lose if he dioes not continue he wants to. You proved my point. Thanks. Then watch the 9th or 11th. Like I said it's a time since I saw it but in one of hese three rounds AA lands a big right Miranda stuumbles back into the ropes, visibly hurt and AA trying to finish him off but he just couldn't anymore.
First off, you don't have to ever answer any of my posts, I'll answer yours. You can even put me on ignore, and I'll answer your posts or anyone else's that I deem off target about a fighter-I have that right. Facts are, there is no he "would've" lost that one. The points taken from Miranda were all legit if you saw the fight. What you're saying about Cotto its irrelevant. You can't hit low, and you can't butt simple as that. His man had a broken jaw which was enough to deal with. Second, how is AA unproven when he's had 10 title defenses, and he beat the man who gave him trouble by stopping him before 4 rounds lol... If you don't like him or his style, then say it, but don't beat us in the head with some biased unobjective thought. Pavlik never ducked PW...and AA has never run in a fight. You don't come forward on a guy with a broken jaw, you give him movement, so to say AA ran from Miranda is crackish...
Exactly. If a fighter thinks he can quit a fight with a broken jaw, and the fight be called a no contest, then that fighter has ever right to be told that he would lose his title if he indeed quits. Sauerland or anyone has the right to tell their fighter what will happens if he doesn't continue. This is not hard to understand. Miranda got knocked the hell out in 3 rounds in the rematch, so why are we even talking about their first fight?
I never said you don't have that right, so don't get all second amendment on me. I inferred that I should know better. Yes. And according to the rules you also can't hold. Fact is I have never seen any other pro boxer get so many points deducted. I didn't say he was unproven, I said his chin is unproven, because he hasn't been in any wars besides that Miranda fight. And once again, I'm not making an accusation of it, just stating. I like him. I wouldn't say I don't like his style, it suits him well, but it's not my favourite style in the world, that is true. Yeah, no, there were just scheduling conflicts. He RAN. The reason doesn't matter. He even turned away from Miranda a couple of times. (BTW, according to rules, forbidden too...) I understand why he RAN, it was the best thing he could've done, but why do people need to believe that he did not RUN but pretty much stood toe-to-toe in what can only be considered Castillo-Corrales III and all that with a broken jaw.
