Can someone explain how Lomachenko is top 10 P4P?

Because people have their own ways of doing these P4P lists, some see it as "Who beats who if they were the same weight" which I find kinda stupid personally, then there's guys who do it purely on resume but that's more difficult to do. Usually though it's a mix of both criteria so you never get much consistency and there's favoritism involved as well.

In the end though they don't matter all that much.

 

There are no facts as to why Loma should even be considered a top 10 pfp entrant.

 

Because as it stands, he's the GOAT of someone who has 7 fights. 2 weight world champ, beat the current lineal featherweight champion in GRJ and dominated Roman Martinez who's a decent enough 'beltholder' - all in 7 fights.

Also, quite frankly he's looked like one of the very best in boxing history to date, post Salido. He just dominated his opponents RJJ style - no one does that, only RJJ.

 

We are talking pfp. The above written doesn't warrant pfp consideration.

Because he is really really good and the best in his weight division. Probably beats the next weight division or two.

 

Goat amateur and was previously divisional number 1 at FW. Also looks incredible.

However he has lost to Salido who has been beaten clearly before.

Not top 10 p4p just yet.

 

His skill and technique make him p4p, along with being a 2 division title holder in only 7 fights.

 

P4P dont mean nothing at all. Its just something for the talking heads and wannabes to go back and forth about. Loma is a sensational fighter and a lot of fun to watch. Look forward to watching him for the next 10 years hopefully.

And you're definitely NOT being objective if you think he's no. 1.

He definitely has skills but needs back up those skills with a better resume.

Also I really wish people would have the slightest bit of consistency when it comes to whether trinkets matter or not. Methinks some of the people praising Lomachenko for being a 2-division beltholder weren't really impressed with Broner being a 3-division champion at 23, for good reason.
